Prague is a beautiful city and a stay at the Grandior hotel complements such a beautiful city. We stayed for 4 nights at the end of August as a family of 3 in one room. From the outside the hotel looks deceptively small and underwhelming but on entering the impressive reception area you’ll soon realise how fabulous and large it is. We were greeted by a friendly reception staff member and check in was very quick and straight forward (city tax is payable at check in). We stayed in a room on the 4th floor towards the back of the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and was cleaned daily. We each had a single bed which was very comfortable and the room had everything you would expect from a hotel of this rating (safe, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, iron, robes, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge). The fridge is stocked with a mini bar, which seemed reasonably priced, but we did not use. (There is a Lidl a short walk from the hotel so you can stock up on drinks and snacks from there which is cheaper). Air con in the room was great and a welcome relief from the August heat. The best thing about the hotel though is the breakfast! This was just fantastic – buffet breakfast with everything you could possibly want for breakfast; hot food, cold meats & cheese, breads, pastries, fruit, cereals, yogurt, juices, hot drinks and made to order omelettes & eggs. You won’t leave hungry! Everything was fresh and delicious – we ate well at breakfast and found we didn’t really need anything else until our evening meal. It did get busy at breakfast, but there was always plenty of free tables. Other than breakfast we did not eat in the hotel so I can’t comment on the Bistro. We did have a couple of cocktails in the lobby bar one evening which were really good. The hotel is in a great location and is within easy walking distance to the old town, Charles Bridge and Wenceslas square. And if you don’t mind a longer steady stroll in such a beautiful city it’s within walking distance to Prague castle, Petrin Hill and New Town. I would have no hesitancy in booking this hotel again if we were to go back to Prague.

This was our first visit to Prague which we arranged with friends and on researching hotels The Grandior was our final choice .
Having seen some other less favourable reviews we do concur about having to pay for water in the room which is shocking given this is supposedly a 5 star hotel.
My wife also found it inconvenient that there was no mirror in the bedroom area , a full length one was located right by the main door as you enter the room , definitely not the best place ,visibility is very poor even with the small down light on .
The shower did cause issues as while the water pressure would put Niagara Falls to shame , the shower head bracket was able to secure it in place so the floor git wet despite us being careful when using it .
Other than the points above , the room and bathroom were clean and decorated to a reasonable standard .
The choices for breakfast are excellent and the if you like omelettes then there will be no disappointment !
What out for the little robot which wonders back and forth with dirty dishes etc can be quite amusing although it’s ultimately superfluous .
The staff were courteous enough and as the hotel is a mile from the main square it was fairly easy to navigate our way round and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from in the immediate area .

Dear Lutonlord, thank you for your recent stay and for your TripAdvisor review. I am glad that inspite of a few minor things your overall experience at the Grandior Hotel was a good one. Regarding the water in Prague, the tap water is purified, of an excellent quality and therefore safe to drink and the profit from the bottled water is used to a charity programme supporting treatment of terminally ill children. Additional mirrors are available on request at the hotel reception, but not a standard feature in every guest room. I do agree that the shower head can be a bit challenging in relation to the bathtub screen, especially if it is not held in hand. Many thanks for mentioning all the good points, that helped to make your stay pleasant. Best wishes, Václav Stříbrný Guest service

From the moment you enter this hotel, you are made to feel welcomed, even the chamber maids say good morning each day, the hotel itself is clean and well presented, located around 17 minutes walk away from Wenceslas Square and about 25-30 minutes walk from the old town, however if you like you can catch a tram from the stop just outside the front doors of the hotel, rooms are spacious and well equipped, with built in storage, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, free safe, ironing board and iron, bath robes and slippers, the shower is powerful and hot. You have a good choice option for breakfast, from fruits and cereal, cheese and meats, pastries and cooked breakfast. There are variety of shops near by, there is a sandwich shop next door to the hotel, you also have a McDonald’s to the right and Lidl to the left, along with fruit and veg stores and gift shops, this hotel has everything to make your stay memorable

I booked a last minute flights & hotel package for me and my son, so we kept our expectations low. We were very pleasantly surprised indeed!
The location is really good: on the edge of the Old Town, so far enough away from the crowds, but with good transport links (metro/tram/bus) and easily walkable to the main sights. It also meant there were restaurants nearby which were less touristy and very good (including La Corte right next door). There was a Lidl close by for picking up essentials (water, snacks) at a very good price! Getting back to the airport from the hotel was easy: a short walk to the tram stop, a tram ride and change for a bus direct to the airport. All for the price of a day travel ticket!
We had a nice welcome at the hotel and we found the staff pleasant and plentiful and thankfully willing and able to speak English, for my Czech is non-existent. On the day we checked out, our flight wasn't until the evening so we asked if we could leave our bags at the hotel for the day and there were staff on hand to take and store our bags safely, and they were readily produced later in the day when we went to collect them,
The room was quiet, clean and spacious; there was a mini-fridge for keeping our water cold and a safe for keeping our valuables safe. The view from the window was of the building next door, but that meant there was no noise from the road outside to disturb us at night.
My only criticism of the room is that the shower attachment was too light and flimsy to deal with the water pressure, so it took a bit of fiddling with the water flow to stop the shower head shooting upwards from the pressure and spraying water everywhere. We had a very wet floor after the first use, but it was ok once we'd figured it out.
There was a note to say that towels would be changed if you left them in the bath; we hung ours up to reuse but they got changed anyway, which was a minor irritation.
We were delighted that breakfast was included in the price; it was an amazing spread of just about everything you could imagine (including ice-cream!) with plenty of good healthy options including fresh fruit, as well as cooked options. We had our fill and then waited until dinner time to eat again! There were plenty of staff around at breakfast doing a great job of clearing tables and keeping everything restocked. I particularly liked the different daily offering of a drink on the way in: fresh lemonade, iced tea, or a green healthy looking drink.
It was my birthday during our stay, and I was greeted at breakfast by the lady at the door wishing my Happy Birthday and when we returned to our room at the end of the day, there was a little gift waiting for me, which I thought was a really lovely touch.
The Grandior Hotel Prague truly exceeded our expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend to others or stay there again.

I have to say I was a little worried when I turned up to the hotel. One one side of the door was a fast food restaurant (Baguette Boulevard which is actually really good) and a casino. Made it look a bit rubbigh, however inside was quite nice and the staff were lovely. The room (we were in a deluxe room on the top floor) was really nice with a really good bed and views out to the non-touristy bit of town.
Can't say I have a single complaint about the hotel. The maid service was great (although I think we annoyed them one day by not wanting it - they seemed to stay behind just in case!), breakfast was really good - great hot and cold selection as well as an omelette/fried egg station. Minibar in room wasn't extortionate either.
The hotel, although a fair way out of the main tourist bit is minutes from the bus station and right on tram route 14 and minutes away from most of the other tram routes. Trams are really quite good and we had no issues getting around.
We checked out early, but our bus back to the airport wasn't until 5pm and the hotel were happy to keep hold of our luggage in a secure area till we were ready to leave, which effectively gave us another day as we didn't have to lug cases around.
Would definitely recommend.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, used their own transfer to the hotel which was seamless waiting at the door for us and whisked us to this great hotel in about 30mins. On arrival we were really delighted that our room was ready this was at about 11am!! The room was spacious with comfy bed and pillows, minibar, robes and slippers heating was easily adjusted and had ironing facilities as well as all the usual toiletries that you could want. Cleaned daily and again to a high standard, the breakfast was more than ample and was fresh everyday with pastries being replaced as needed as was all the hot food. Omelette station lady was very friendly and made delicious Omelette everytime, the coffee and fresh juice were also a great way to start the day! 10 mins walk to the old town which was perfect with many bars and coffee houses to stop at along the way. Highly recommend and would love to come back here again in summer to see this beautiful city.

Looking at the first half dozen or so reviews I can honestly say I agree with them all. Me and my wife are well travelled 50 somethings and found this to be a very reasonably priced immaculately clean hotel. The breakfast is superb, there's no other way to describe the food and dining facilities....trust me on this. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but fairs fair they are bigger than average hotel rooms with everything you need including a lovely bathroom and a well stocked mini bar/fridge. As others have said, the air conditioning doesn't work at all, it just hums and blows mild air out, even when set to zero. In October that wasn't much of an issue as we just opened our windows, the hotel was hot as they always are. I wouldn't come here in summer for this reason alone. We visited the Grandior in early October 2024 and yes it's a bit underwhelming when you arrive and looks nothing at all from the outside, the interior I'd say is rather quirky but very clean and has every amenity available, including a business conference centre and a typically overpriced Spa most folks avoided for that sole reason. The girls on reception offer one word, or if you're lucky one line answers, suffice to say their default position is a little bit abrupt and unwelcoming. You need to work on this at the front of the house. The girls in the dining room are the opposite and offer superb service with outstanding food served. All in all we had a great stay and as I say it wasn't expensive as it isn't in Prague. The geographical location of this hotel is very good, I said the geographical location is very good, it's on the periphery of everything but it's not the most attractive area of Prague, far from it, nor is it an unpleasant area. Come out of the hotel main entrance and take a left every time, never go right, go left out the front entrance and 10 o'clock takes you to Wenceslas Square, 2 o'clock takes you to the old town, it all blends into one area of loveliness, takes more than 5 minutes but less than 10 minutes to reach all the best areas of this beautiful city. That's it in a nutshell, for what we paid sub £900 for 3 nights including flights - really good value.

The hotel was lovely and staff were great with us. Cleaners were above and beyond and trustworthy. Only downside bath plugs were stuck and faulty however other than that can’t fault the bathroom or rooms. Very comfy beds and TVs have great choice of Netflix, YouTube, TV etc for them late night films
Complimentary shampoo and conditioner and body washes. As well as tea and coffee. Downside mini bar which isn’t free is filled with their own stuff no space to put your own drinks - no necessary if not asked for.
The breakfast is an alright selection the hot food consists of beans, bacon, 2 types of sausages, Spanish bacon, fried tomatoes or corn depending on day, potatoes, scrambled eggs. Best bit about the breakfast the egg lady who makes you eggs on request with any topping of your choice. Good choice of bread. You also have pastry choices and some granola and yoghurt choices. Fruit section was a let down with banana, apple and diced fruit (soaked for ages) and sliced peach.
Usually dislike elevators in hotels and huge delays and waiting however these were top notch and plenty to use across hotel.
I can’t comment on the hotels other facility’s I did not try these.
Good location, outside tram stop and shopping mall down road as well as many restaurants. Very good location.

What a fabulous hotel. Certainly worthy of it's star rating. I emailed the hotel before our arrival to inform them I have a fear of lifts and I would be grateful if we were not located a room on the top floor. An email arrived in my inbox within the day! A room had been allocated for us and a member of staff would help us on check-in to navigate the stairs. On arrival at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the facade, the entrance and the huge reception area. Check-in was prompt and staff very friendly. As promised, a member of staff took me via the staircase to our room located on the 1st floor whilst my husband took the lifts with our suitcases. Concierge did offer to take our cases but my husband does not mind taking the lifts one bit! We arrived in room 213 which was not huge but not small either. We were located at the front of the hotel overlooking the street and we had a lovely little balcony which we could use to people watch and watch the trams come and go. Despite being at the front, overlooking the street, no noise could be heard from outside as there were 2 double doors. The bathroom was clean with lovely toiletries and accessories gifted. Only downside was the bath was slow to empty. Bedroom cleaned daily towels replaced daily. Shame the water in the room wasn't free. Minibar not used so cannot comment on prices. Safe free to use and there was an iron and ironing table, tea and coffee making facility and great working aircon. The bar area is beautifully decorated with lots of glass making it look very spacious and grand. It has seating at the bar and lovely sofa's to sink into after a busy day! Cocktails are very cheap during happy hour and beer and wine is very reasonably priced. We didn't eat in the restaurant during our stay but we did make good use of the breakfast available. Oh my, what a selection! From cooked breskfast, continental, egg station, waffle station, juices and hot drinks galore, vegetarian option, pate, selections of cheeses and breads and not forgetting the entertaining 'Robo' who helped around the breakfast area. Staff very polite and helpful. Hotel in a great area to explore all main attractions in Prague. Tourist tax is approx 50 koruna a day. Highly recommend and highly recommend Prague if you enjoy city breaks.

The hotel is relatively near to the city center (less than 1 km). It is really big, modern and comfortable. It is also really clean, even if the rooms floors are covered by carpets and that makes the air a bit unhealty (I prefer other materials for hygienic and allergies-related reasons). The breakfast buffet is very large and the food is good, but we stayed in two rooms (we were two couples) and we had to pay separately the breakfasts for two of us because sometimes the online packages available don’t cover the whole thing. Also, differently from elsewhere, the personnel at the reception is really strict and they were about to refuse us to stay there telling us we could be criminals (lol) because some of us did not have their IDs (but they did have a valid document with photo, meaning the driving license that is complete of photo and widely recognized as a valid identification method all around Europe for EU citizens). Also, we did have one ID per room.

Dear Camilla B, thank you for your recent stay at the Grandior Hotel Prague and also for your TripAdvisor feedback. I am pleased that you found our place fully accommodating. As far as guest hotel registration is concerned, drivers license is according to Czech law not recognized as sufficient document for check-in. All hotels in the country must obey the registration rules and regulations and fulfill the administration requirements set by the Czech government. Personal ID or passport are the only two documents that comply with the registration rules. Drivers licence may be enough in Italy, but certainly not in the Czech Republic. Every traveler needs to present valid personal ID or passport at the checki-in. EU citizenship does not mean any exception in this case. Every traveler should read the official requirements before traveling to the foreign country in order to avoid possible unpleasant situations. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Václav Stříbrný Guest Services
