We paid £175 for four nights B&B....based on hotels stayed in other countries for the same amount, we were very impressed with the Archibald. The hotel was very clean, the bedroom was large enough, the bed probably bit too large.( we are newlyweds!!!). Bathroom spotless and everything worked. Breakfast was good....lots of choice and plenty of it. Staff were helpful...

A relativley good hotel. I would say more a 3 star rather than a 4 star. Other than that relativley clean. In close walking distance to Wenclaus square, about a 20 minute walk to charles bridge and 15 minute walk to the main train station. A 5 minute walk to the closes underground, although in Prague you really do not...

We stayed here for four nights in late January and we were very impressed. Our room was clean and had crisp sheets on the comfortable beds. The breakfast was decent in nicely decorated room. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Special big thank goes to Peter in the reception who provided great service with information...

The hotel really was in a great location, with mini markets, restaurants and the city centre all within walking distance. The staff were very helpful also and helped with every request we had. Our booking included breakfast which was obviously of a continental nature i.e. meats/cheeses/fruits and this too was very nice. Whilst the room had lots of storage and...

We should have known that Archibald would have not met our expectations as our encounter with the booking manager Jan Kaspar, a person of an incredible arrogance and incompetence. On the arrival, we were met by the rudest ''lady'' on the reception, who surely thought that she was something else. The room we booked was supposed to be with and...

My friend from Spain reccommended this hotel to me for my trip to eastern Europe. I was expecting central location, nice room, affluent breakfast, friendly staff and also early check in, arrived at 7a.m. in the morning, it was my requirement. My friend was right. I spent nice 3 nights in Archibald City hotel.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
