We stayed for 5 nights, leaving on the 20th and could not fault the hotel at all. We arrived after 21.00hrs and were greeted warmly. The air conditioning being on in the bedroom was very welcome. We had a 6th floor room, with a balcony, overlooking the street (great view of the roofs of Wenceslas Square buildings). The room was spotless, comfortable and had everything you needed. Breakfast the next morning was excellent (and every morning - served from 06.30) Every taste was catered for, with a mixture of cereals, breads/cakes, fruit, cooked items, cold meats and cheeses. Even a small glass of champagne as you entered the dining room. Wenceslas Square was a 5 minute walk, a tram stop 2-3 minutes away and Old Town Square about a 20 minute walk if you don't get distracted! A perfect location. All staff were polite and welcoming, particularly reception and the Franz Kafka bar. I highly recommend this lovely hotel. We will return. Thank you!

Booked this hotel as part of a Jet2 package from the UK staying for three nights. We had a room (402) towards the rear of the hotel overlooking a central atrium.
On arrival the staff were helpful spoke excellent English and made the check in process easy despite a large group also booking in at the same time.
The room was very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay (including tea and coffee making facilities). Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of selections available. The only comment was that the waiting staff were so efficient that a used piece of crockery/cup/glass was swooped on the second it was placed down whilst you were still eating and/or if you were both up selecting items staff tried to clear the table for others (although there were no queues and plenty of tables for couples) - a minor niggle as the breakfast was of a very good quality and enjoyable.
We used the hotel bar and made use of the happy hour cocktails and discount card we were given on arrival. Again the staff were very good and attentive.
I would recommend this hotel (based on our room and experience) as it was an excellent location for easy access to the city centre and major attractions, with very good service and decent value.

The reception staff were very friendly. The check-in experience was smooth. Our room was on the 3rd floor but quick and easy to access by lift. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. The minibar was useful to keep our water cold. The Aircon worked well. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot, although it was just connected to the bath tap and you couldn't change the spray. Breakfast was just typical continental, with different breads, cereals, hot and cold meat and selection of machine coffees, but it was nice albeit busy. Checkout was easy and the hotel will securely hold your suitcases if you don't need to leave until the afternoon. Overall the location of this hotel is great - only 10 mins walk from the old town - and would recommend staying here.

We stayed in old part on 4th floor. The room was fairly small and the shower room was tiny however, it was very clean and very quiet with a very comfy bed. Location 5 minutes walk to Wenceslas Sq. Everything else we found in easy walking distance too. Staff fine. Lots of youngsters who still need to learn how to smile! All fine though. Left luggage possible. I would say it's a good 3 star rather than 4. Breakfast fresh and plentifulPlease note.. if non schengen/UK arriving at the airport, it took over one hour to get through immigration. So watch if you book a transfer. Uber airport however can be booked when in arrival hall and they are excellent and cheaper than transfers.

Total disappointment, avoid this hotel. I was there for four nights, in those few days I didn't feel welcome at any moment. From the first day we had problems, we were not introduced to the system, and I must emphasize that everything was paid in advance. The room we paid for was not the same as the picture and was very small. When we moved in, we got another room that was bigger, but very outdated, the guests from the room next to us have knocked on the wall for two nights, because everything could be heard from the next room, there is no insulation at all. The room was very dark, with a high ceiling, the mini bar was empty, the pillows are very bad, there are no sockets next to the bed. The cleaners came every day to change towels and sheets, the first day I found my pajamas on the floor. The staff at the reception is very rude, when we complained that we didn't get the room we paid for, the girl at the reception rudely replied that we can be happy for that room, there are also plenty of smaller rooms. The first morning when we went to breakfast, the girl in front of the restaurant didn't even greet us, she just asked for the room number and when we told her, she told us that there was another restaurant we should go to. Also, when we sat at the bar a couple of times, each time we drank the same drink and each time we were charged a different price. I have been to a lot of hotels, but in this hotel we felt that we were not welcome, the staff does not care about the guests at any time, very rude and rude approach towards the guests. Totally unprofessional behavior for a hotel that supposedly has 4 stars. In that room we were put in, I felt like I was in a two-star hotel. The only good thing is the ok location, everything else is zero points. Total mess by the employees. Prague is a very nice city, but if you are coming to Prague, avoid this hotel, you will miss it. 👎

Dear 663mirjanb, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Let me start with saying that we checked you in 3 hours prior the guaranteed check in time. I recall our conversation at the lobby bar, where you shared your dissatisfaction with the initial room and presented a picture of the room you preferred. In response, we promptly contacted our housekeeping team to prepare and clean the desired room in advance. It's important to note that the original room was styled in Art Deco, while the room you moved to is designed in the Biedermeier style which I mentioned at the lobby bar. The distinction in styles may have contributed to the perceived difference, but rest assured, the room is not outdated, rather, it offers a unique aesthetic. If you had informed us about the issue with the sockets by the bed during your stay, we would have gladly provided you with an extension cord. Regarding the varying prices at the lobby bar, we would like to clarify that our establishment offers happy hours from 16:00 to 19:00, during which special pricing is applied. Additionally, we provide a discounted card offering a 10% reduction specifically for our hotel guests. These promotions may explain the differences in prices you encountered during your visits to the lobby bar. Rest assured, we made every effort to ensure your stay was comfortable and pleasant. With kind regards, Johana Dobrá Front Office Manager

Upon arrival in the reception area, it is clear to see this hotel would have been the blueprint for luxury a few decades ago. The marbled floor, the pillars, the grand light fittings, and comfy relaxing chairs provided an impressive initial welcome. The bar is also situated in the entrance area and offered a casual, pleasant atmosphere with helpful & friendly bar staff. Check-in was smooth without too much fuss.
Unfortunately, the impressive start did not last long. Our room was situated on the 4th floor & overall appearance was dated with a dark wood, heavy, stand-alone wardrobe & similar dark wood fittings throughout the room. Back in the day, this would have been acceptable & fitted in with the ambience of the time, but in a modern world, for us at least, it missed the mark. However, a positive is that the rooms can be serviced daily if needed & were clean & tidy.
The room was small, but the large king-size bed was comfortable. There were tea making facilities including a kettle and a small fridge. A multi plug socket was near the bed, allowing for two mobile phones to be charged with convenience.
However, the air conditioning unit appeared broken with the on switch missing & no remote control for the unit. The room got very stuffy, the window did open but then with all the city noise, so uninterrupted sleep was not possible.
The TV had only a small amount of English speaking channels consisting mainly of news & a comedy channel. A better selection would have been useful or at least a TV that had dual lingual audio, so at least the films & certain TV shows broadcast in English would be available in their original language rather than dubbed over.
The bathroom was modern with a powerful shower & complimentary shower gel & toiletries & there were no complaints in this regard.
There seemed to be confusion over the late check out policy. We were told 3 different things by 3 different receptionists, from you need to ask on the morning of your departure to we don't do it.
Breakfast was included, which was pleasant enough in the dining area. There was a range of options, including bacon & sausage & was help yourself buffet style.
Overall, on the surface, or certainly in the entrance, bar & reception area, this hotel appears to live up to its name. However, there was too much lacking with the finer details overall, confusion over hotel policy & a dated room that disappointed. This hotel certainly will not be on our radar next time visiting Prague.

Dear TimandDamo, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We are pleased to hear that you found our lobby area impressive, enjoyed our plentiful breakfast, found our rooms clean, and experienced helpful and friendly service from our staff. I would like to point out that our hotel cinsists of two distinct buildings, each representing different architectural styles one in Biedermeier and the other in Art Deco style where you stayed. With great care, we select furniture that harmonizes with these unique architecture styles. Regarding the air conditioning, as we are still in the winter season in the Czech Republic, only the heating system is on while the air conditioning remains off. Please feel free to contact our reception next time, and we will gladly provide you with an electric fan for your comfort. I apologize for any confusion regarding the late check-out policy, as it can only be confirmed on the day of your departure based on hotel availability. We have recently welcomed many new team members, and I will ensure they receive proper training to prevent such confusion in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more positive experience on your next visit to the Majestic Plaza Hotel. With kind regards, Johana Dobrá Front Office Manager

What can I say from the moment we walked in through the doors of the hotel we went WOW! The lobby of the hotel was spacious, to the left was the hotel bar and seating area to the right was the hotel restaurant for evening meals.
We proceeded to the hotel check in desk were we are greeted by extremely pleasant staff. It took approximately 10 mins to check in. If you are not aware you do need to pay a tourism tax, we stayed for four nights and it roughly cost £13.
Our room was located on the first floor. Our room was spacious. It had a large double wardrobe which had a safe in which is free of charge. If you ask me all hotels should provide a free safe. Also in the room was a fridge, a desk area just off to the side of where the bed is which had a 3/4 socket for charging your phones etc. there was also a small table and chair in the room as well. The bathroom was large and it was to a high standard just like the bedroom.
Our room was cleaned every day.
Our board basis was b&b. The breakfast was buffet style it consisted of cooked / traditional continental choices, typical of a European city.
The hotel bar had a happy hour on every night from 4 pm till 7 pm (cocktails only)
There was also a beer spa within the hotel - this cost extra we didn’t do this but will definitely be doing it next time.
The hotel was roughly 5 minute walk to Wenceslas Square, to the main square of the Old Town it roughly took us 12 mins to walk.
Bars near the hotel - Irish bar Rocky O’Reilly’s & Londoners both approx 2 min walk away, both show sports.
We also enjoyed a night watching HC Sparta Prague ice hockey - uber cost £6 each way to the o2 arena.
We also did a lot of walking exploring this lovely city.
When we do go back to Prague we will without a doubt be staying at the same hotel as it’s in a perfect central location.
You will not be disappointed if you stay here

We stayed at this hotel with a 4 year old child. Friendly and competent staff. The room was quite large with a king size bed (in fact we didn't need an additional bed for the child... 3 of us were comfortable). The soft kitchens, the small but functional bathroom with the tub, products such as shampoo and shower gel but without the bidet. We had instant coffee and tea available that we could drink directly in the room. Very good continental breakfast both sweet and fried! The location is excellent, with a few minute walk you can reach the centre. We only walked on foot, with beautiful walks you get to the main attractions that this wonderful city offers. For those traveling with small children, equip yourself with a nice sturdy stroller because Prague is practically made only of cobblestones of all possible and imaginable dimensions 😅 we struggled more at times with the light one... but it can still be done!
The only flaw (personal opinion) was that the room was TOO HOT, even if you turned off the air. I recommend this hotel 🏨 and this wonderful city!

Upon entering the Majestic Hotel, I was immediately impressed by the elegant foyer and inviting bar area, which set a welcoming tone for my stay. Check-in was straightforward, but navigating the hotel to find my room was a bit tricky. The hotel has multiple elevators hidden behind doors, and it took me three tries to find the correct one. A clearer explanation at check-in would have been helpful. Once I did find my room, I was pleased with the tasteful decor and ample space. The room had everything I needed, including a modern, clean bathroom, a wardrobe, bedside tables, a safe, and a fridge to keep my water cool. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, maintaining a comfortable temperature throughout my stay.
However, the room wasn’t without its minor flaws. The television offered only a few Czech channels, and my window view was less than inspiring, facing out onto a roof. Additionally, I could hear the bath being filled in the adjacent room, which disturbed my sleep in the morning. The bath plug in my own room was broken, so the water didn’t drain properly when I showered, and I couldn’t take a bath. Fortunately, the reception staff were quick to address this issue and had it fixed right away.
Location-wise, the hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Old Town, placing it conveniently in New Town, close to several good restaurants and bars. Despite the weather turning during my stay, I found a nearby Irish pub to watch some football and enjoyed a meal at a local Indian restaurant. The included breakfast each morning was excellent, offering a wide variety of cooked and continental options, along with good coffee and even a glass of sparkling wine. The bar staff were friendly, and the 10% discount for guests was a nice touch. Overall, despite the minor issues, the Majestic Hotel delivered a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable experience, warranting a five-star rating.

We stayed for 4 nights. We received a warm welcome at check-in. The room was a really good size, nice bathroom. We requested the room to be cleaned daily and it was always completed before we returned from going out for the day.
Breakfast was always busy every morning, but food replenished quickly and staff kept on top of everything.
Small hint if a light sleeper I'd request a room not overlooking the road, sometimes a bit noisy in the night just with local traffic.
