Residence Agnes**** is located in the heart of charming Old Town, just a few steps from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov containing preserved synagogues that attract tourists from around the world; it is also close to the attractive Palladium shopping centre. Due to its location, the residence is the ideal base for your visit to Prague – whether for a shopping spree, or to visit cultural and historical sites. The historical Residence Agnes building is located in one of the oldest parts of Old Prague which is listed by UNESCO. The first mention of the building dates back to 1369, when it was bought by Matyas for “two three-scores of groschens”. Residence Agnes underwent extensive reconstruction in January and February 2012, when the building was transformed into a four-star air-conditioned hotel offering an excellent service and pleasant atmosphere.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is located in a quiet area yet within walking distance of the tourist attractions , it was spotlessly clean and although not 5 star luxury the rooms were more than adequate with a very comfortable bed, enough wardrobe space and a small but functional bathroom .
The breakfasts were delicious with more than enough choice and drinks including alcoholic drinks were available free of charge all day.
What makes this hotel stand out above others is the incredible staff and their exceptional customer service skills, we have never before stayed anywhere where the staff are so welcoming, helpful and friendly, they go out of their way to ensure your stay with them is quite unforgettable
We have no hesitation in recommending this small hotel to anyone looking for somewhere special to stay in Prague and take this opportunity to also recommend the walking tour with Renata Hartman, it was arranged by the hotel and what a wonderful time we had with this lovely, interesting, knowledgable guide, thank you again Renata
Choose Hotel Residence Agnes and you will not be disappointed
Thank you to all the staff

This was definitely the best hotel stay I've ever had. The sincere, warm hospitality shines through every aspect of the Hotel Residence Agnes. Each and every time we entered the hotel, we got a friendly greeting and were offered something to eat and drink in the beautiful atrium lounge. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you could want or need. The selection for breakfast was amazing, so many different options, nothing I have ever seen a hotel offer. A ton of homemade baked goods. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is close to everything we wanted to see, most within walking distance and if not, they drove us! In short, this is the place to stay. Would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay! Our room had individually controlled air conditioning that worked great, so while the city was melting from a heat wave we were perfectly cool and comfortable. We typically stay in more expensive hotels but the amenities and atmosphere make this one of our favorite hotels anywhere.
The staff was excellent and served free wine in the beautiful, open common area daily. We loved to go sightseeing early when it was cooler then come back to the hotel for wine and conversation with the staff followed by a nap in the afternoon. Many great dinner spots within walking distance including popular restaurant Local on the same block. We easily walked from our hotel to all major sites.
Breakfast buffet was great, many choices both hot and cold dishes. When our flight out was cancelled the staff arranged a private car to take us to Munich at a very reasonable rate. All around great experience and would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend! (We stayed in July 2018)

We join the other reviews in saying that the Hotel Residence Agnes is the most exceptional hotel we have ever visited. There is no way to overstate the amazing welcome and service given by the extraordinary owner (Frank) and his fantastic staff (Lucas, Victoria, Elena, and everyone else who works at this very special hotel. We spent 7 nights (in two different rooms) and were delighted with the facilities, cleanliness, location, etc. But what makes this hotel unique is the staff who go above and beyond to make every guest feel like family! Frank (the owner) is a busy man with many other business interests, but this hotel is truly his "baby" and he somehow seems to be on the scene day and night (we still wonder when he sleeps). Any of the staff will sit down with customers (in the immaculate lobby) and answer questions, provide wine/beer, make itinerary suggestions, and/or arrange for tours. If you need to get somewhere in town that is outside normal walking distance the staff will often be able to give you a lift via owners van.
My simple recommendation is that if you plan a visit to Prague your first task should be to book the Hotel Residence Agnes. The quiet location is an easy walk (about 6-7 min) to the main square (heart of the city). When you arrive just put yourselves into the hands of the staff, accept their recommendations, and you will leave Prague in love with the city and the hotel.

Can’t praise the Hotel Residence Agnes enough. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived they offered us a drink and sat down with us in the reception/lounge area to talk us through what Prague has to offer and to give us their views on the best places to visit and eat. They offered to book restaurants for us (we took them up on this on the first night and went to the Blue Duckling) and even book concert tickets if we wanted. The hotel is very clean, has a wonderful ambience and is very tastefully decorated.
The room we had was very large with a king size bed and everything we needed was in the room. The bathroom was very good, clean, nice suite and a very good shower.
The breakfast they serve here is extremely good. As soon as we got down for breakfast the staff offered coffee and juice and then took the time to explain everything that was available from the buffet (cold meats, cheeses, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, waffles, pancakes and all the way to cakes and pastries!) and offered to cook fresh omelettes if we wanted. We ate a lot at breakfast which set us up for the day!
On the day of checkout, as our flight was late afternoon, the hotel looked after our luggage for us and arranged a taxi to take us to the airport.
The Hotel Residence Agnes is probably the nicest hotel I have stayed at in terms of quality of rooms, decor and service. The staff are extremely friendly and will do anything to make sure your stay is perfect.
I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to Prague and I will stay here again when we return to Prague.

I stayed at The Hotel Residence Agnes in January this year and it was probably the best hotel experience of my life. When comparing to what you expect in other places this was truly amazing. When you arrive they let you know straight away that you get unlimited free local drinks (beer/wine, etc.) in the reception area and the mini-bar in the room is also free for snacks and soft drinks. There's always a stock of water bottles (both sparkling and still) in the reception that you can also just take from. During the day (not in the evenings) they even offer a chaffeur service to get you anywhere you want in the city and that is also included... The sheer amount of services and goods included in the reasonable price is just staggering. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. They are very happy to give you information and tips about the city, where to go, what to do, which restaurants to visit, etc. I would happily stay here again in the future!

Situated no more than a 10 minute walk
from the Old Square in Prague Old Town; we stayed for a 3 night break during December and from the moment we checked in our every need was catered for. We arrived around 09:00 and immediately asked if we would like a complimentary breakfast, which we were not expecting. Our bags were stored and access to our rooms arranged for 13:00. The owners and their staff took care of our every need; from a free shuttle service within Prague to complementary beer and wine on our return from an afternoon or evening out. The hotel was spotlessly clean, our triple and double rooms spacious and all staff members spoke perfect English. Checkout was 12:00 and they arranged for our luggage to be removed from our room into storage. Hotel Residence Agnes is very much a 5* establishment, we will certainly be staying here again on our next trip to Prague.

We were BLOWN AWAY by this jewel of a hotel in the heart of Prague. From the moment we stepped through the front door we felt like we were treated like royalty. Every member of their staff from the owner of the hotel (who sat & visited with us on numerous occasions) to the hotel driver to the concierge... every person was a delight. Each member of the hotel staff dropped what they were doing to answer our questions and get us anything we needed. I truly felt like every person at this hotel wanted our experience to be the BEST that it could be.
The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The breakfast each morning was incredible with a large assortment and everything was homemade and so fresh. The location was perfect as well. It was an easy walk to the center of town, yet just far enough to be quiet in the evenings (for a good night's rest).
I usually don't like to stay at the same place twice, because I like to experience different hotels; however, I would never dream of staying anywhere in Prague other than Hotel Residence Agnes!

My wife and I decided to take a short city break to Prague and selected this hotel (in part due to their current “free parking” offer). We were very impressed, from the point of making the booking until the last goodbye.
The staff were all super helpful, giving us insights into nearby restaurants, and arranging a walking tour of the city. No detail was too small for them to take care of, or comment to us on a point we might enjoy.
In addition to a great breakfast buffet (more on that) they also offered complementary wines and beers (and water bottles) at any time of the day. Really tired from a day of walking—no problem, let us bring the wine glasses to your room for you. Meeting a friend in the city—no problem, please feel free to bring your friend back for a glass of wine.
We had a deluxe double which was very spacious, quiet and air conditioned. Nice bathroom with shower stall with a squeeze bottle of shower gel on the wall.
The breakfast buffet was great with all the offerings of a 5-star international hotel, BUT, in these Covid-19 times I question the wisdom of putting out food on an open buffet, and letting people (whose hygiene and exposures you don’t know) wander around and collect their own food. Better to do what I’ve seen in other places—namely a member of staff collects the food and brings it to you; this helps control exposures.
In all a wonderful stay, which I can heartily recommend.

Spent 8 nights at Agnes Residence Hotel Oc 31-Nov 7. Provided stellar service by all staff. I and the other hotel guests I met during my stay were amazed by the service we were receiving. Breakfast was superb. Complimentary beer and wine was poured throughout my stay. My requests were accommodated efficiently and with a smile. Water pressure and WiFi was strong (typically I find hotel wifi problematic - but not here)!
Kudos to Frank and his staff. I cannot wait to return again!

I would call the property. We used Uber, or the Prague version of it. They have a driver to take you if not too far,
Hi,
thank you for your question. All our rooms are equipped with a walking shower. The Deluxe double rooms are little bit more comfortable than the Standard rooms.
Our hotel has a perfect location within a few minutes to the Old Town square or the Charles Bridge. Our hotel offers services of hotel driver, who drives our guests complimentary around the city centre.
When booking directly through our website 3+ nights we would provide you with one complimentary transfer from or to the airport (otherwise price 44 EUR/transfer).
We hope you will decide to stay at our hotel. For more question do not hesitate to reach to us.
Dear Andrea,
the breakfast is possible to enjoy in any part of the hotel lobby, we have three areas. Our guests have always enough comfort when having their breakfast.
Kind regards
Agnes Team
Thank you for your interest. At the moment you would need either a negative antigen or PCR test, or proof of complete vaccination or proof that you had COVID19 in the last 180 days. In March the conditions could be different as the situation evolves and restrictions and rules are changing often.
Dear MelodyS, we do not accept pets in the hotel, therefore all rooms are pet free ;)
We all hope to welcome you soon to Prague
