It has taken a few weeks to write this review, because I knew it would be somewhat lengthy. I can honestly say that this hotel has the best service I've ever experienced. I've stayed in some fantastic hotels, but this one makes you feel like you are coming home. I traveled to Prague with my parents on a two week...

Our stay at the Residence Agnes was absolutely wonderful. The hotel staff was energetic and helpful in planning our days, assuring transportation, serving us great breakfast and drinks. The location is spectacular. We will stay here every time we are in Prague and recommend to our family and friends visiting Prague.

This is the place to stay when you visit Prague. I work in hospitality and every employee we met provided us the best service I have ever experienced. The breakfast is fantastic. Frank the owner insisted on driving us to many destinations. They arranged a wonderful walking tour and treated us to a complimentary concert at the Spanish Synagogue. Frank,...

Stayed here with friends, the staff are without doubt it's best asset. Cannot do enough for you, fantastic. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Rooms were clean and well equipped with hairdryers and toiletries. Free safe in rooms as well. Complimentary tea, coffee, wine, beer or soft drinks offered whenever in the reception. Staff were happy to book...

We are just back from Prague and stayed at this hotel for three nights. If I tried my hardest to find a complaint on this this place I still wouldnt be able to. The staff, from the moment we arrived, just made us feel at home. We arrived early and the rooms were still being prepared, so they took our...

My husband and I stayed for four nights at this hotel and I was totally in heaven. The staff was courteous and kind. The welcome was warm and inviting. The first thing that impressed us was they offered us a seat and a drink. They came and sat with us to find out what things we enjoy doing and is...

The reviews don't lie, Hotel Residence Agnes is unique in a good way. The level of service is quite exceptional, everyone goes out of their way to help or assist you. The location is also perfect, close to the "important" sites but still in a quiet neighborhood. The room was a bit small, but clean and tidy and most important...

I am not going to repeat in detail what the other 2,800+ 5-star reviews say. Amazing service, lovely room and great location is all you need to know. We sincerely hope to be back - a real surprise package in the best possible way.

As we are sitting enjoying our last glass of wine before heading back to the airport, its easy to reflect on what a wonderful hotel this is. There is no need to repeat what others have commented about Residence Agnes other than to say don't consider staying anywhere else in Prague. It's simply an amazing place with the most wonderful...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Residence Agnes**** is located in the heart of charming Old Town, just a few steps from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov containing preserved synagogues that attract tourists from around the world; it is also close to the attractive Palladium shopping centre. Due to its location, the residence is the ideal base for your visit to Prague – whether for a shopping spree, or to visit cultural and historical sites. The historical Residence Agnes building is located in one of the oldest parts of Old Prague which is listed by UNESCO. The first mention of the building dates back to 1369, when it was bought by Matyas for “two three-scores of groschens”. Residence Agnes underwent extensive reconstruction in January and February 2012, when the building was transformed into a four-star air-conditioned hotel offering an excellent service and pleasant atmosphere. ... more   less
