We had a bit of mixed feelings. After all, we have never been behind the old iron curtain and we were not sure as to how Germans would be accepted, especially in this town. However, we decided for this jewish place because in such an old town you must have something with athmosphere......and that is exactly what you get at... More

From being nearly a ruin in the 60ies, the restoration of this property has made it a very interesting hotel in Kazimierz. Originally a Mykva https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikveh (maybe for women only?) it has served central functions in the very heart of the old Jewish Quarter in Crakow. Restored back to the 30ies it gives a good impression of pre-war life in... More

Klezmer–Hois is situated in the heart of Kraków’s Kazimierz, close to some synagogues. This hotel has been one of the few facilities that survived to the WW2 in Poland. Hence, It has the original pre-war interior décor with a characteristic atmosphere that makes you feel in the old traditions of Jewish Kazimierz. It has been an espectacular experience to sleep... This hotel is very traditionally furnished, so if you like minimalist this is not for you. It is spotlessly clean, staff are very helpful and pleasant, and our room (no 15) was very large. They leave mineral water for you each day. The shower temperature and water pressure was good, and there's a hairdryer. The hotel is in the heart... More

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in a lovely atmosphere at the hotel dining room. It was a lovely change from the typical hotel breakfasts of the chain hotels. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was very good.

We arrived to spend just a night after some time (two years) and we were pleasantly surprised. This time we had a double room en-suit on the highest floor and it was very cosy, quiet and comfortable. I think they didn't use to provide bathrobes and slippers in past, so this was nice improvement. Breakfast had the same nice items... More

I had booked a 5 person table for a family dinner. Food was good. We pay extra 50 PLN per person for a music concert. Klezzmates - Musicians young, playing not typical Klezmer music I was not smashed down, at all. Just after 30 - 40 minutes concert, musicians join the audience and offer very expensive CDs - 50 PLN... More

Twelve of us visited this restaurant and were placed on separate tables. We were then offered seating for 12 in another room but were asked to pay extra as live music was being played. We accepted but the music finished after just 10 minutes and only after repeated requests did they agree that there would be no extra charge. Also... More

Located in the Jewish quarter in Krakow, a place full of history. The decor is like a typical Jewish home pre-second world war. We had lunch in the main dinning room. We had as appetisers: stuffed onions (recommended), broad beans and caper salad(unusual combination but try it), chicken soup with matzo dumplings. For main cholent ( typical casserole made of...
