The location of this hotel is in the middle of the main pedestrian street a mere 5 minutes walk from the River Danube and 10 minutes from the Chain Bridge, with easy access to both the metro, trams and hop on hop off buses at Elizabeth Square. The entrance to the hotel is between shops, with a small reception area...

This is a small hotel situated in the heart of the city. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room spacious and spotlessy clean. Comfortable bed and very quiet at night. Breakfast was good. The hotel reception will book tours, airport transfers, baths and give a good rate on money exchange.

A group of us go away in October every year and this year the choice was Budapest. We stayed 3 nights in the Promenade City hotel, which we knew was in a pedestrian precinct and this meant that the airport shuttle we had booked with the hotel dropped us off as near as possible. The transfer was very efficient and...

Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a less than cheery receptionist that took our information and gave us our room keys. There was 11 of us so that's maybe why she wasn't too happy. Anyways, we got to our room to find that there was double beds in 3 of the rooms and 6 of us would...

Unless you can get a front room with a street view you'll be squeezed into a small room with a view of a light shaft The room fittings are up to date and wifi is reliable but don't expect any frills The breakfast room is busy and provides a basic selection of foods The hotel is located on the central...

The hotel is situated on the main shopping street in Budapest, Vaci Utca. It has spacious and nicely decorated rooms. One minus would be the fact that you can't smoke in the room, in case you are a smoker. The service provided by the hotel is very good. I recommend this hotel!

We stayed for 3 nights, couple with kid. Wanted the room towards the Váci street but was concerned with the street noise, so we asked for high floor and that's exactly what were given – 5th floor, absolutely no problem with noise. The room was very good. The continental breakfast just ok, not on the luxury side but we really...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
