Spent three nights here in this charming hotel in a mostly residential district right up next to the Castle--just an elevator ride up to the walled grounds. Easy transit from train station, and we used a taxi to get us to the airport at the end of our stay. We like to shop at local supermarkets for light meals (bread,...

The hotel is right near the Buda Castle and close to the subway station and the mall. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast could offer a larger selection, but it was ok for a 3 day stay.

First visit to Budapest and absolutely loved our hotel. It sits at the entrance of the hill where Fishermen Bastion is located. It's on a quiet street. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The room was clean with a tub! Will visit again.

This hotel is a great value in the Castle District. It is a 5 minute walk from a major subway station with connections to local buses and trams, and it is just steps from the Castle District gates. Our room was bright and clean, and the bathroom was the largest of all the hotels we stayed in while in Europe....

The hotel is ideally situated. It is close to the castle - a scenic and quiet location - but also close to public transport. The staff were incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very good and we really enjoyed our evening meal. Would definitely stay there again!

Great hotel close to the castle on the Buda side of Budapest. If you turn left and go across the road, the lift up to the top is located. I like the location of this hotel but if aiming to go anywhere by the tram then it is a good 10-15min walk to the nearest tram stop Batthyány tér on...

Breakfast is normal, good enough but nothing special. Very good location in Buda to see all the nice things. 5 minutes from metrostation. Friendly staff

I've spend here to night in different rooms. In the second night I have be bitten by the sleeping bugs, they'd where literally all around the bed. They have changed my room in the middle of the night but the such sittuation in 4 stars hotel shouldn't happen (shouldn't happen in any hotel)! Except of that-a very good restaurant.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
