I stayed in the summer of 2015. Overall the hostel is pretty and the decorations make it feel very inviting. But keep in mind that if you're staying in summer there is only a fan so I couldn't sleep for most of the week as it was 35C outside. Also the bed wasn't very comfortable and if you're staying there...

My friend and I stayed in a 2 person private room with shared bath. I loved the decorations and quirky style of the hostel. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the towel I was given to use. The location is great. It's very close to the metro and several food options. The price was also great! The reason I...

Stayed here Sep 16 with my fiancee. Very nice hostel - lovely old building, very nice staff. Only downside was the room got very hot and there as no air con (but was large window & good fan). Would be happy to stay again next time in Budapest.

Not too easy to find, but it worth! We had the 2pers-ens. with a kitchen and felt warmly at home! Good location near kalvin tér (bus, metro, tram). 5min to green bridge, vaci utca, market hall, jewish quarter, etc.

Stayed in the hostel for 4 nights and overall I thought it was good. The decor are really quirky but fun and the staff are really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is not a party hostel which was exactly what we wanted. Good bits: •Very central - about 5min away from the synagogue. •We had a very spacious 25SqM room....

My boyfriend and I stayed here in a very spacious room with a great view of the national museum. I cannot fault the place! There is no air conditioning, but our room was equipt with a fan which worked wonders in the night time when pointed near the bed. Very polite and friendly staff who all spoke perfect English and...

My Girlfriend and I stayed here in February this year. We decided to choose it due to the photos on here and we were not disappointed one bit. It is a very clean, friendly, easy to find and a secure hostel. When we arrived we were treated by a very polite lady who I can't remember her name. (Sorry) This...

This was a very interesting place in a great location! It's a little difficult to find off the street, but follow the directions on the website, and you should be fine! Also be prepared to carry your luggage up four flights of stairs (the place is located on the 4th floor, and there is no elevator). But the paintings and...

Excellent hostel, with a more than friendly staff. Do not be alarmed by the building exterior, but pack in light, there is no elevator. Great location, next to the jewish quarter and several places to eat nearby.

Loved this hostel. We stayed in March 2015. It was great value for money and well kept. Stayed in a private room for two and the decor was really cool. The staff welcomed us by telling us about the city and with maps and a drink! Close to public transport and to bars. Only thing to note is that there...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
