The security was good, with a code in order to enter the building, and then, another code to enter in the hostel. The cleanliness wasn't good, the sheets didn't smell well. The location was ok, close to the parliament, but a bit far from the more agitated areas of pest (around vorosmarty square). However, 20 min walk was enough to...

I've stayed there for 5 days in october and it was fine. Restrooms where clean, beds confortables, heating was ok. I think it's a nice play to stay in low season. However i'm not sure it's the best place to stay in summer when it's probably full of tourists : there were only 2 restrooms and 3 showers for at...

HomePlus Hostel management looks poor as 1st of all they have multiple buildings and they adjust you as per their availability rather as per your booking. I have booked for a bed in 4 bed room type in main bldg but they asked me to go to bldg backside of main bldg. Moreover, I was provided a loft accessible through...

We stayed 3 nights. The place is clean and quiet. The beds are confortable and we were able to sleep well even without ear plug! The kitchen is tiny so if you want to make your meals its not the ideal place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have free dinner on certain nights, we didnt like it. Its...

Having booked a private 4 bed room for myself and friends I can honestly say this is one of the worst Hostel experiences I have had. The staff were mostly Uninterested and every interaction seemed like an inconvenience. Shower heads broken . The lights had a weird system to get them on that wasn't explained. We submitted laundry that was...

The staff at HomePlus were friendly and helpful, albeit a little disorganised. There was plenty of information provided about the city, and the staff were ready to help with anything you needed. The rooms were fine, although they could've been cleaner. The wifi was very good. The location was alright- not amazing though. It was close to the parliament building,...

There is no free breakfast here. The staff at this hostel were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the hostels main building which was tidy and clean enough. The room we were in was a little cramped but the bunks had their own power points and a locker for valuables. The hostel is a bit of a walk to the...

The best stay I ever had! Plus a city I fell in love with! Would definitely recommend if you want to meet a lot of people. The staff is super nice and helpful. Location is great. Close to margit island and the parliament. It was the first time I traveled alone and this experience was even better than the experiences...

We thought the hostel was Nice, pretty clean, you could hang over a curtain for your bed and eventhough the kitchen was small it was okey. The staff was helpful and there 24/7. But the rule that it was forbidden to bring strangers to the hostel was apperantly not so improtant since our room mate (a stranger) brought a man...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.

We are a comfortable, friendly, bright, safe and well equipped small hostel where you can stay in mixed larger rooms or smaller private rooms. We are located in the heart of Budapest, near the Danube river, between the Parliament and Margaret bridge, on the Pest side of the river. Margaret island is just a five minute walk where you can enjoy the outdoors, plus a lot more.Since we are located near the Margaret bridge, you can choose between discovering the city center or walking over the bridge to the more residential area where the royal castle is located. Don't forget to stop on the bridge to take the best 'Budapest at night' photo :)Our goal is to give you what we would like to get if we were travelling abroad and to make you feel at home. We do that by speaking good English, giving you sightseeing tips, providing you with all the info you may need, keeping the place clean and offering you a variety of pc, audio and video services.Your hosts, Andrew and company, we all love our work, we all love our guests and we like to see everybody happy.
