Really nothing to complain about and good value for the money. Yes for sure not a luxury hotel, but for a few days stay in Budapest it is fine. Fairly central placed . Rooms big with showers having good water pressure. Free internet / wifi in rooms. Breakfast included but nothing special

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Clean comfortable rooms with friendly helpful staff. No more than a few hundred yards from railway station and the hop on hop off buses also stop in same place. Handy for quick walk to parliament building and riverside walk

This hotel was exceptional value for money and only a short walk from many of the attractions. Close to the Metro and tram stops...so easy to get to most of the attractions. The room was smallish with a decent shower room, the only criticism was that it was fairly dark and the lights not bright enough. However, we were out...

Just back from a three night trip to Budapest. The staff at this hotel were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel was spotless and our room was very comfortable. A few little quirky practises like having a kettle and cups but no tea/coffee or milk sachets - so bring your own. Very convenient for visiting Parliament and a 20 minute...

This hotel could easily be a boutique hotel. I would not rate it above 2* as it is at present. It has so much going for it, newish, location and some of the staff being friendly. Rooms very basic. Down sides:- If on business wifi totally inadequate as kept dropping out or so slow. Kettle and cups on tray in...

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel in a central location. We were able to walk to many attractions from here. The receptionist was fluent in English and very polite and helpful, nothing seemed to much trouble for her. The hotel was very clean with a large room, and a lounge area...

Excellent hotel. very clean. good rooms with powerful showers. Well positioned to bisit all sights. The staff recommended a local Hungarian restaurant - Firkasz - which is within easy walking distance and has excellent food and piano player for entertainment. Don't miss it!

Great hotel near the city centre. The service was nice and attentive and the hotel decoration was on point. It is heavily influenced by Asian cultures and our room in particular looked like a luxurious Mongolian suite. Definitely recommend

This was my third time to stay at Marmara Hotel and I would like to compliment the pleasant and courteous staff.Location is very good with train and metro line only minutes away. There was a nice food selection for breakfast and overall it was good value. James (Ireland)

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
