Rooms are okay and the location is excellent for this price, but apparently it was for a reason. The restaurant in the ground floor turns into a nightclub at night. Our room window was facing the inner open space of the building where the disco locates in the ground floor, and no matter how firmly you close the window, there's...

The location is amazing, it's at the end of a nice street next to all the restaurants you would want to visit. However, the space outside your window is the backyard of a club, so it can get a bit noisy. Slept here from Monday to Tuesday though, so it wasn't so bad. The girl's shared bathroom is kept clean,...

Well, the location is the best of all the hostels i've been in Budapest (21), you practically are in the center of the city, 1-2 minutes (on foot) from the chain bridge and 5 to the nearest metro station. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and clean. The olny problem that exists with this hostel is the loud music at...

The rates were great, the location even better and the room was clean and spacious. The furniture was quite basic and cheap, the mattresses were of low quality but in decent enough condition and the common bathroom was kept reasonably clean. What makes me not value all of the above so much however was the fact that the room overlooked...

Very nice and close to everything! It is in very nice street which leads directly to the main cathedral! P.S. having a disco downstairs, of course you can't sleep during weekends... but you can dance, instead!

Zrinyi guesthouse is in the centre of Budapest with everything you need in a walking distance. It is above a nightclub however which operates Thursday to Saturday night probably not ideal if you don't want to see and hear club goers on the weekend. You also get free into the club which is a bonus !

Very hard to get to sleep on the Friday and Saturday but have fun and go out! 5 minute walks from everything! Tourist shops, the river, cafes and other pubs. The nightlife is to be explored as well as every other aspect, you are paying less or around £10 per night so how can you possibly complain? You pay the...

We chose this place for its cheep fee and good location to travel around the city center and there are good restaurants within 10min walk from here. We never expected good room, and it was true: Very simple beds, that's all. You can use common toilet, shower room, and refrigerator. It is not perfectly clean but acceptable level especially for...

Like so many before me have said, this hostel has an AMAZING location. Honestly, it can't be beat. The rooms are decent, clean, very average for a hostel of this price. But Dear. God. THE NOISE. We were in what seemed like an empty hostel for our first few nights (Tuesday, Wednesday). Thursday rolled around and we thought we would...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
