Seems like the place has not been cleaned since its last guests checked out. A bar of used soap next to the tub with hair still on, with compliments from the hotel. The fridge is disgusting with food bits everywhere, and there are red stains of god knows what on the bottom layer. There are oil stains and some dried...

This is a real treat in Budapest and probably the best place to eat. The decor just pure opulent and there is free entertainment all the time. It not cheap but great value for the entertainment, decor and if everything is as good as their cakes, you will not be disappointed. If you visit Budapest you must visit New York...

I don't know where to start,. The location is great. It is right on the bus, tram, and Hop on Hop off tour lines. It is walking distance to the main train station. It is close to everything. The rooms were well apportioned. The beds and bedding was comfy. My only complaint was the cable selection left a little to...

You must make time to at least visit the bar/lounge. You will find it time well spent out of your busy vacation. The piano player was excellent, and the surroundings so beautiful. I overheard some tourist at a table next to the bar talking about things we had in common so I spoke with them and asked them about their...

Stayed here for 3 nights and was very happy with the standard of the accommodation. You can access the Residence from the main hotel and it is essentially a modern extension to the rear. The room was spacious and well appointed, The bathroom was modern and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The small kitchen was well equipped and useful for light...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
