My husband and I made our first trip to Budapest in September 2016. We loved, loved, loved the city -- so much to see and experience -- so much beauty everywhere you look. We stayed at the IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel, which only enhanced our overall experience and visit. The hotel was centrally located to the venues we wanted to see...

This hotel is part of a well-regarded chain and I stayed happily at other Iberostar properties in Spain many years ago, and this hotel is well located and conveniently accessible by Lyft. However, this hotel is a design nightmare - plush 60s-style furniture and shag carpet are notable features - and that carpet raises serious cleanliness questions in the bedroom!...

Location is wonderful and in an area next to many sites. Staff and service at this hotel is wonderful but cleanliness leaves something to be desired. After a long day of traveling I pull the sheets down to find small body hairs, dust bunnies and holes in the bedding; which shows me that they don't change the sheets after each...

Dear Guest, We were very disappointed to read the details of your experience during your stay at IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Budapest and whilst an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your alleged experience on this occasion, we do extend it with all sincerity. For IBEROSTAR thorough cleaning is an absolute must and we are extremely surprised by your...

We stayed in December for 3 nights. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of bubbly while we checked in which was a great first impression. Our room was always warm enough, the bed was comfy and we had a magnificent view over Liberty Square. I'm not too sure about the glass wall around the bathroom though? The staff...

Very great place to stay! Luxury rooms and fantastic services! The Spa and gym is nice, but quite small. In the lobby there is a lovely smell. From the reception you will get any kind of help at any time of the day and night. Me and my fiancee will come back for sure!

Very central. The room was quite nice, very silent and clean. All the Hotel personnel was very kind and very nice. We had a very nice time and the Hotel is very central - near to all the best places worth to visit. Metro station is quite near - 5min walking.

Visited Budapest in December for my 40th birthday. This hotel is beautiful, spotless and in a great location. The room was amazing (with an incredibly comfortable bed) and the staff could not have been more attentive or friendly. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

We stayed here for a few nights in late November. The staff were very helpful although there was some confusion over our booking on arrival. They had clearly mixed our booking up with another, but that was soon sorted out. Also, we had requested a room overlooking the nearly square but didn't get one. We had an executive room which...

Honestly - the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. First two days (of 4) - 21 degrees in my room (-5 outside), after the FIFTH visit at the reception I was offered a HEATER. The issue was solved at the end of the 2nd day - first two days I spent in a sweater in a FIVE STAR HOTEL. To...

This hotel is in a great location. It's in a no through road so traffic noise is to a minimum. It's very close to the main centre (10 minutes walk). The only negative was that the king size bed was two single mattresses pushed together.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
