Stayed for 3 nights whilst in Budapest (Booked under the name Gwendolyn Guesthouse, but its the same place) We were greeted by Kate who was lovely and friendly. The room was clean and enough room, it did get very hot though. We had a fan to help with that. Right near the window though, and the curtain didn't cover the...

Mrs. Kate is a great women and she helped us with useful information and guidance. The only disadvantage is the tram that is passing next...

When we came here our first impression was that it did not at all live up to reviews given in here. The room was very basic, and the beds were uncomfortable. There were not even a mirror in the room. It seems clean, but everything was dusty when you take a second look. The kitchen that the guests can use...

After reading a lot of very positive reviews about the place I was quite excited to arrive at this guesthouse in Budapest. The exterior seemed quite run down but this didn't put me off. On arrival we were greeted by a little girl, who I'm assuming was Kate's daughter who was very polite but I still found this slightly odd...

Kate's Guesthouse was a wonderful base from which to explore Budapest. It is in a great location and close to all the public transport you will need. Kate herself is the loveliest woman and makes you feel very welcome and at home. She goes out of her way to help you and had our room ready for us by 10am...

The location is perfect for exploring this great city: metro station is near, two trams that circle the town also stop very near the hotel, as do the buses for many attractive locations. The place itself is very well kept, facilities are immaculately clean, rooms are spacious and with high ceilings that add to the already great impression. Kitchen is...

Ideal downtown location, a short walk to public transport and many restaurants, shops and attractions. Very clean and comfortable, large rooms. I came on a busy weekend for Kata, but she was still very helpful with directions to her favorite restaurants (not good for the waistline ; ), doing laundry and organizing cheap transport to the airport. Always with a...
