Our family had a great stay in two rooms at Butterfly. Their location is wonderful for walking to many places or catching the metro. The rooms are beautiful, clean and very spacious. Breakfast is one of the best in the various B&Bs we stayed during our Europe trip. Andras is really great about tips, recommendations and all kinds of touristy...

My family & I have just returned home from our annual visit to Hungary. My brother in law found the Butterfly Home on the internet & after reading the reviews decided to book for a three night stay. On arrival being greeted by a locked door we all were alittle worried, but there was no need, a friendly face opened...

This bed and breakfast has about seven rooms on the three floors above the lobby. Our room was on the top floor. There is no elevator, but that was not an issue for us. Our room was air-conditioned and comfortable. The free wi-fi worked well. The building is on a quiet pedestrian mall just around the corner from the Kalvin...

Andras was an amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. He was around at breakfast every morning and gave us a great briefing and planty of ideas of how to make the most of our trip. If we needed transport he would arrange taxis for us and he made the time to sit and answer all our queries. The rooms...

We just finished a multi-week to central Europe with stays in twelve locations. This was one of our top three hotels. It is conveniently located to subway and trams. The owners are exceptionally helpful, with directions , advice etc. Our room was great. The included breakfast served next door was good. Definitely would be our choice on a return visit.

We were warmly greeted by Andras on arriving at the Butterfly House in Budapest. He readily agreed to take our luggage to the room whilst we went for a look around town. A good thing as our room was on the third floor (79 steps to ensuite bathroom level and a further 15 to the room). The steps, except the...

We stayed 5 days in this hotel. It was marvellous experience. Nice spacious and clean, confortable bed. The breakfast was always fantastic. It is very cosy located just a short walk away from the Great Market hall, Váci street and the Liberty bridge. András and Timea (the owner couple) and them staff went out their way for us. I highly...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
