Me and hubby stayed there for a long weekend. We got free transfer from the airport to the hotel. The employees are very polite, helpful and service oriented. Customer satisfaction is their focus. Location is perfect, near vaci utca, central market hall, gellert bath etc. We walked from the hotel to the tourist attraction, we need no public transport. The...

My experience at Residence Baron was a good one. Budapest is a very large city so it is hard to be in a good location close to everything. This hotel is close to Liberty Bridge, Gellert Spa, Gellert Hill, Central market. I didn't use public transport and walked everywhere - it's approximately a 30 minute walk to theParliament building and...

Hotel was really clean throughout and staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great. The room was basic and we had a view of the wall and could only just see the sky! We bed was terrible and we both had a bad back. It was soft and worn out with a mattress topper added for extra softness! Breakfast was...

A group of us arranged to stay in this hotel for a family birthday. A dinner was arranged for everybody on the special day and I have to say the hotel did us all proud. Not only for the dinner but for the whole of our stay (there were a number of us!). All the members of staff we encountered...

This hotel is in a very good location just next to the river, the central market and Gellerts spa, but a 15-20 minute walk to the Jewish quarters where many of the more lively restaurants and bars are located. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a very good stay. The only downsides is that you have...

Stayed in this small friendly central location hotel . The staff are very friendly and any problems are dealt with very promptly . Also their use of the English language is excellent . Only downside would be the lack of choice at breakfast . Also it would be nice if you could have a standard size glass for fruit juice...

We stayed at this hotel for our wedding anniversary in December to visit the Christmas markets and we were really pleased with our choice. The main positives were the friendliness of the staff - we arrived very late but the guys on reception were still very happy to answer questions about trips and transport. Every member of staff we encountered...

Firstly they are so helpful on front desk and throughout this hotel. The location is great about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main shopping street, that said personally everything felt within walking distance in a great city. Will be going back to this hotel especially for the mulled wine and chimney cakes.

The accommodation was clean but basic. Advertised as an executive room I feel we only had breakfast included and 'free' access to the pool area which its of was underwhelming (not an actual swimming pool). The food was adequate but overall I do not feel this place fit the amount we paid.

We stayed at this hotel the first week of December, it is in a good location, 5 minutes from the river and indoor market, and only a short walk, or tram ride, to St. Stephen's Basilica and the Parliament buildings. Our visit was for the Christmas markets and we were in a good location to visit them all, but far...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
