It makes me sad to write my first bad review. If it wasn't for the manager this place would've gotten a very good score from us. The location was actually very good, the place quite clean, and all the staff apart from the manager were lovely, but when I cannot bring myself to rate this hostel positively after the way...

Very centrally located, walking distance to Astoria and Deák Ferenc tér commuter station. Free wifi, well equipped kitchen and large spacious room. The hostel manager, Mr Martin is super friendly and provided us with loads of useful information about Budapest. I really enjoyed my 2 nights stay there and I highly recommend this hostel.

We weren't able to stay here because our reservation was cancelled due to an error from another staff but Rolland was really thoughtful and kind. We got to use the internet and found another place to stay close by. Overall great location, very central and kind staff. Thank's again Rolland !

The room is as expected for a hostel, clean and tidy, lockers for personal belongings.ensuit. good price I was out of season. Central for my needs. There's a metro station not far away and an ALDI to get food from . The building is an old style type with the mesh elevator you see in old films. Brilliant I think.

We booked a 3 Bed Superior En-suite and would I describe it as such? No. A shower behind a wall and no private toilet is not an En-suite. There was a communal toilet outside our door which was rarely used by anyone else however. The room was also late in being ready for use by 3 hours. Decor is dated...

That guy wanted me to pay twice for the VAT. Not the city tax, the VAT. For a private room. For a 4-night stay. During the high season. And for banking fees which I had already paid for (c'mon, it's a hostel and you're used to hosting international travellers). Next time, make sure you book via a website like hostelworld...

Arrived at the hostel and tried to check in. We were told that our booking was invalid and hadn't I had an email about it? I was supposed to have received 3 emails regarding how my booking was invalid because I had booked my stay before the hostel had uploaded their summer prices? I had not had a single email...

We stayed here in September 2015 for 2 nights in Room 2 I believe (2 double bunk beds with shower and sink). The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was just outside the door. There seemed to be good kitchen amenities but we never used them. The location is fantastic, close to transit and within walking distance to...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
