I was in Budapest for my piano recital at the Bela Bartok Memorial House. We chose this hotel because it is only 15 minutes away by walk. The hotel is like a place coming out of a fairytale, starting with the garden :) Very good price, very clean, free wifi (not very strong in the rooms). Breakfast ample but not...

Very friendly and helpful staff, who all speak excellent English. The rooms are good and clean, and the breakfast spread is comprehensive. It cost us 80 EUR per night for four of us in March, which struck me as excellent value for money. It is well-situated. It cost us 7000 HUF to get a taxi there from the airport, but...

We stayed at the Beatrix Hotel August 2012. A quiet location with good transport links via the tram into the heart of the city. We purchased a 24hr ticket for up to five people approx £9. We had booked what we thought was a self-catering apt with air-conditioning through booking.com, however when we arrived we were given a suite with...

If you choose to stay at this place, remember, you get what you pay for. This place is not particularly bad, it's not good, it's adequate. It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Buda, relatively close to a tram line that runs frequently. It does have a beautiful garden, although when I stayed here in the winter, it didn't...

The Beatrix is in Buda, in a quiet, green location a few minutes from city centre by frequent trams and buses. It has won the 'Best small hotel in Budapest' prize, and is immaculately run by a small and devoted staff. They exhibit a warmth of welcome that is positively infectious – guests frequently talk to each other! All rooms...

Beatrix is a great choice for value-conscious families who can manage learning the transportation system in a new city. The prices are so low that any shortcomings are easy to overlook. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood about 6 tram stops from the Moskovsca Metro station. I recommend first thing buying a tram ticket at the front desk,...

I was introduced to the Beatrix by a friend who lives in the same road. So quiet is the Beatrix that even he did not know that it had won the `Best small hotel in Budapest´ prize. How any other hotel ever wins it I cannot imagine - the Beatrix is immaculately run by a small, amazingly capable staff of...

We stayed 2 nights for the second year in Beatrix (stay and breakfast only), staff was friendly up to the last minute. we had to leave for airport early and the attendant did everything to help us with breakfast before 700 hours. It is clean and what you expect from a 3star hotel. includes free wireless (excellent reception) conveniently to...

I am a retired US Ambassador and my family and I have been staying at the Beatrix for over ten years - since it was recommended by the US Embassy in Budapest when I was serving in Africa and looking for reasonably priced accomodations while vacationing in Budapest. We have been back every year, and have witnessed a superb establishment...

August, 1993 was my first ten-day stay at the Beatrix. Its friendly, family-like atmosphere and excellent service made this "panzio" my obvious choice for our 2002 visit to Hungary, this time with my wife. We are left with fond memories and should there be another opportunity to visit Hungary - Beatrix will again be our choice. S.A. ERDELYI - Toronto,...
