Great position. Opt for the Danube view for the best view of Budapest. Great helpful staff, good breakfast food. Rooms good size and very clean. Good Internet but typically you have to sign in ever day which was a bit of a pain. I would (and have already) recommended this hotel to anyone going to Budapest.

Room was very nice, roomy and clean, The refrigerator didn't work but housekeeping came up and replaced it promptly. New one wasn't much better. Restaurant and bar were pricey for the product delivered-- very typical of Hilton hotels though. Close to many little restaurants and in a quiet part of the castle district. Staff were always eager to help!

The hotel is on one of the busy streets of Budapest very near to a railway station. It is near metro station also so you can wander through the city and come back by metro to save yourself some energy. It is connected to a shopping mall with shops worth visiting. Rooms are not big but they offer enough comfort... More

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in November. Spectacular views but three problems. 1. Surrounding area is too quiet with a limited choice of restaurants and bars. 2. Overcharging for drinks in the bar was a recurring theme each night. 3. The hotel allows a local bar / brothel owner to sit in their bar surreptitiously observing guests while... More

We stayed here for 4 nights, and were put on the third floor. We asked to upgrade our room for a better view but after being told it would be an additional €160 we decided against this as we wouldn't spend much time in the hotel. The room was very dated, and our view was of the brick wall of... More

We booked in with Thomas, who was everything you would want from a receptionist, very polite and helpful and willing to offer suggestions on where to eat and how to get about. We upgraded to a river view and it was worth every penny, the view from the room was definitely the icing on the cake, the concierge and bell... More

Quiet area but still close city center (Walking a bit difficult - located on a hill). Would love to revisit. Beautiful surroundings. Great staff. Excellent breakfast. Get a room with view of river - worth it.

The location of the hotel was perfect for walking around in the historic Castle district and was an easy walk to the Pest side and tourist sites via several of the bridges. I'm a frequent Hilton guest, and selected the location to use rewards points and due to its location. The level of service and overall experience at this location... More

Hotel is really nicely furnished. New, modern, stylish and all the amenities. A few things however turned this from what should have been excellent to very average stay. Both nights I was disturbed. Firstly from noisy person in room above stomping about. The next night from noisy phone conversation through the connecting door. Then in the morning from the rubbish... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
