Very typical Hilton, well designed and professionally run. Fairly expensive to drink. Wouldn't use the restaurant in the hotel as the food is uninteresting, service in the evening was poor and it was not value for money. Other staff were very nice and provided a...More

Walk down the hill to see the sights, and take a cab back in the late afternoon. This is not a bargain hotel. Rather, it is for making memories. You feel like you are taking in all of Budapest when you look out the window.

The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many

Yes. There are a number of restaurants and local attractions, such as St. Matthias and Fisherman's Bastion literally out the door of the Hilton. One caution--we ate at a couple of restaurants right across the street from the hotel. The food was okay. Since prices are more reasonable in Budapest, the restaurant prices were reasonable. However, we found a wonderful Italian restaurant very close to the hotel, called Risto's. Good food! The walk is about 10 minutes from the hotel. In fact, I wrote a review for this establishment. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Budapest.

Hello. We had an upgraded room while we stayed at the Hilton that did not face the river. And I was quite pleased we did not pay extra to have a river facing view, because with Hilton's location on Castle Hill and right next to the Fisherman's B, you can see the view for free during your wanderings on the Hills.

Dear Almeda
Email the hotel direct. I tried to put the hotel's email address in this message but Trip advisor does not allow me to include HTML or website links so cannot add the hotel's email address, so Google Hilton Budapest if you are staying at the Hilton in Buda or Hilton Budapest City if you are staying at the one in Pest. Their website will give you their contact details. Enjoy your trip.
