A very friendly family-run hotel. Very warm welcome, chatty, interested and very efficient service. A great location right next to the River Danube, and short walk into the city centre. I would definitely stay again.

Staff were very helpful and polite. Really made our staff welcome! The rooms have aircon and tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge with drinks to buy. Highly recommended for a quieter area within walking distance of buda and pest and especially the citadel. The breakfasts were lovely and the egg's very well cooked.

We liked the area this hotel was in. It was a quiet neighborhood, 10 minute walk to the Pest side of river or 10 minute walk to chain bridge. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Be sure to get the breakfast and ask for an omelette! They're made to order and excellent!

Lovely hotel with everything you need. Staff were very helpful and very polite. Made our stay in Budapest wonderful. Balcony was an added bonus as well! Good location near to the castle and citadel and easy walking distance to the main town. Highly recommend!

The room is very comfortable but the airconditioning is rubbish. It only slightly cools the room and when it is 30+ outside it really needs to be better. The beds are very big and very comfortable and there is plenty of cupboard space. Breakfast is very good especially the omelette, also reasonably priced at €8. The hotel is well placed... More

For a city hotel room was quite large and roomy. Twin beds and en-suite bathroom. Towels changed daily. Very clean. Tea/coffee making facilities (added to every day). Small refrigerator (contents at very reasonable prices). Breakfast was fabulous - fruit, cheese, meats, white/brown bread/rolls, yoghurt, coffee, tea, orange juice, water, scrambled/fried eggs. But it is the staff who make this hotel... More

I spent three nights here - a one, and then a week later, two. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here, and I was made to feel welcome straight away. My room, on the top floor, had a small balcony, so I had views of the city. The mini bar, refreshments and bathroom were well stocked and clean.... More

Carol and Ann stayed 1O days July 2O16. This is a fantastic hotel and we have stayed in a number of varying accommodations in Europe in the past. We are well seasoned travellers and have found the hotel exceptionally clean. Clean towels daily and fresh linen as required, daily if it is necessary. Breakfast is very good and caters for... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night but would have happily stayed for much longer. We felt completely safe and was extremely good value for money. Everyone was so lovely and really helpful, and we couldn't be more thankful for their help with what to do in Budapest and getting around etc. Delicious breakfast with great variety and a... More

I am about to check out from this hotel, and I'm very sad about it. If you are looking for a hotel where everything is shiny, new, and modern, this is not the place for you. However, if you want a very affordable place that is clean, safe, and has good-sized, air-conditioned rooms and great service, this place is perfect... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
