We had the room with a full window to the Danube river in the 7th floor, and that was worth the money. To be woken up in the morning by the wonderful sunrise was magical and then to have a very nice breakfast in the comfortable dining area was a very nice start to the day. It must be mentioned...

Great view of the Parliament and a great location, which meant we walked to almost all the sights. Staff were helpful and friendly, particularly the breakfast staff. Highly recommended, particularly for those looking for a romantic break.

Stayed here for a long weekend in March. The Hotel is very well located on the Buda side of the city, just up from the chain bridge (easy walking distance). There is a tram stop just outside which conveniently links with a nearby metro station. We arrived at around 4pm and our room, on the top floor was ready for...

Beautiful hotel, right on the banks of the Danube with glorious views of the parliament building. Plenty of space in the rooms, big beds, great breakfast with freshly cooked eggs and bacon in addition to the usual continental fare. They organised pick up from the airport, which worked very well. Very helpful staff with good recommendations on tours and restaurants:...

Very well located hotel for either walking or public transport and has superb views of the river and Parliament buildings. Rooms have plenty of storage with a safe at chest height, not on the floor. Lovely touch to provide afternoon tea. Extremely good breakfast and all staff very helpful.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
