The staff was very eager to help in all matters at all times. It is located on the Buda side of the river and there are superb views of the river Danube, the Parliament House as well as to the Buda Castle and the Fishermans Bastion. The corridors and rooms are decorated with artworks and very nicely furnished. This is a charming and convenient hotel in the Buda shore. It is not downtown but is very easy to access and the view to the Parliament, Chain Bridge and Pest side of the city is largely worthy, since the hotel is literally on first line on the shore of the Danube. Nice, helpful and efficient service. Fantastic breakfast buffet...

We only had one night at the Art'Otel but it was good value, with a slightly "arty" approach to room design, a great view of the parliament building on the opposite bank of the Danube and very friendly/helpful front of house staff. We will go again.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
