We stayed at the Budapest Sofitel Chain Bridge for 4 nights and could not have been more pleased. We had booked a Danube River view room and were upgraded to a corner executive suite with views of both Buda and Pest. The hotel staff and guest relations ambassadors Eszter and Nikki could not have been nicer and made our visit...

Very clean, lovely decor and most helpful staff ever. Checking in as a group there was staff approaching those in line waiting to answer questions, welcome and make you feel at home. Roomy accommodations with crispy white linens on the beds (Duvets) bath with large tub/shower and with large make up mirror and hair dryer. Several plugs for charging electrics....

Paris Budapest Restaurant earned our time to write about it here and tell everyone on Tripadvisor that it is a wonderful place to eat to drink and enjoy the fascinating view of Budapest. We would like to thank all of you for the great dining experience. We found the restaurant by accident but what a great surprise. The food the...

Having a great hotel can make any holiday that much better. The Sofitel is amazing and treats customers very well. The beds are terrific and the morning breakfast ... just Stunning for Europe. Highly recommend this location for easy access to everything.

The hotel is with the best location in the heart of Budapest. The staff is really good and know how to make your stay comfortable. The food in the restaurant is awesome as well as huge choice for breakfast. The only negative is that the building looks a bit old but everything else was excellent.

Perfection, we were upgraded upon arrival from an executuve room to a suite. Everyone made our stay unforgettable, from check in to check out I can't fault our stay. The breakfast was delicious, the views were fantastic from our room and from the executive lounge, onto the Chain Bridge over the Danube. The room was extremely comfortable. The room service...

Ok, the hotel is very good looking. Classy but stops there. The air conditioning is terrible. The sink is cracked and the amenities are average. For a 5 star hotel it is very poor. Today everyone has electronic devices that need to be charged. The outlet in the bathroom didn't work, there was one by the door and one by...

Stayed three nights at Sofitel Chain Bridge. Hotel was excellent as you might expect from 5star rating. Great location next to Danube and close to attractions and various tours. Staff were efficient and polite and all spoke several languages. The restaurant was pricey(28 euro p/p for breakfast) you will do better at restaurants outside. Good bar facilities with good choice...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
