Rarely I saw such situation in any hotel type and never in 5 stars one. Basically, there was a queue of 20-30 people waiting for a table . Meanwhile, tables were available but the clean up process took too much. Nothing to comment on the room.

Stayed 5 nights in a superior room as a Le Club platinum member, and had a most enjoyable stay. This is a perfectly managed hotel (kudos to the very visible GM Ms Bowcott!) with a highly professional and super friendly staff in all departments. A special thank you to the great staff in the Club Sofitel, Adrienn and Anna, for...

Out of my numerous fond memories in Budapest Hungary, I wouldn't hesitate to pick the very best. It would be my choice to stay at Sofitel. It was the best decision that I'd made, and I was very lucky to meet Keresztes Kata, Laszlo Adrienn, Miklos Anna and Anna Siklody at the Sofitel Club on the 8th floor (this is...

We had a conference at the hotel for about 20 associates from all over the world. The hotel is in a good location and conference facilities very good except for some confusion over lunchtimes on one day. I had room 346, city side so no view but a nice room with excellent bathroom. Food was all really good.

Good location, nice modern restaurant, very friendly and polite staff. Unfortunately we had to wait for the food more than one hour and finally what we received was not really good and far from the standard what one expect from a place like this. Wine selection is very nice and we found good tasteful hungarian wines.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
