The hotel is very well situated in the middle of touristic Budapest, in Vaci pedestrian street. Though it's a pedestrian street, the hotel has a seoncd entrence to the hotel from the underground parking, so it's very convenient to get there with taxi (or a car, of course). The rooms are nice, clean and efficient, very good buffet breakfast, and...

The location could not be better. One can reach the main sights of the city walking which is great, or it is possible to take a bus, the underground, etc if needed. The staff is efficient. The rooms are fine and clean, and there is a parking place (quite expensive) Breakfast was ok. In general we are satisfided.

I have stayed in different hotels in my life and mostly as a tourist. My partner and I chose this hotel because of its location as it really is located in the heart of the city. We booked a standard room at €112/night (that excluded the city taxes). We were given a room on the 1st floor (room#125) all the...

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of Aug. We booked only 2 days before arrival but were given a "premium" room which was a decent size and overlooked the main street. The room itself was nice with decent wi-fi reception, a small fridge, enough places to charge phones, tablets, etc. Bathroom was updated and...

The hotel is located in the very middle of Budapest, 2 minutes walk from the hot, night life. However the staff could be more helpful, and polite. When I was there the receptionist did not behave as a gentleman, he was bad with conflict handling. But maybe he is not at his place anymore.

Others have written about the location: it is simply at a great place, right in downtown. The front desk staff was polite, quick, attentive and offered their assistance for visiting locations and having extras. I consider this as a great value and this hotel seems to pay attention to that well. There is a bar in the lobby area, again...

The location of this hotel is excellent, near to the main tourist sites of the city and of the public transportation. The hotel keeps the Mercure`s standards with good service and a good breakfast. The rooms are quite small but comfortable. Certainly the great advantage of this hotel is the excellent location. I recommend.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
