Great hotel located near to the Keleti tube. Very friendly staff in a reasonably priced hotel, we booked a Tuk-Tuk tour via the hotel reception which was great fun. The staff at the hotel came to the front door to see us depart on the tour. Rooms are clean and what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, the...

I had a great time staying at the hotel. The staff was really friendly and attentive, they went out of their way to meet every request. My room was exceptional, and breakfast was really good. The one week I stayed in Budapest (October 2016) this hotel was a great place to stay at, although I wish it was a little...

Let's start saying that our stay at the Star City Hotel in Budapest was the worst treatment I have ever had in a hotel. We booked a triple room, through my travel agency. As we arrived at the Hotel in Budapest and we got the room, we suddenly realized that: - the shower-doors were broken and the water was spilling...

This hotel was recommend to us by a family member that stayed there recently. We found it to be clean, very friendly and informative. The location was amazing, close to metro, all buses and to the Pest centre.

This little gem was a great hotel with great staff. They were always friendly and spoke great English. They were very wonderful on answering all our questions. It is a bit far from places like the parliament and other sites but it wasn't a bad of a walk and plus the metro station is close by. The szchenyi spa is...

Positioned in a local neighbourhood some distance from the more usual tourist spots but reasonably accessible on foot from Keleti Palyaudvar mainline and Metro stations from which all parts of the city can readily be reached: it is also on a trolley bus route. The staff were most helpful (a very real plus point), the continental breakfast was acceptable although...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
