A great location near the Great Market and the Danube. We loved staying in an older hotel with more historic character. The staff was very helpful arranging transportation from the airport and an early morning taxi to the train station.

Just in the center of down town. Silent surrounding. An old building. Nice rooms, enouhgh place. Reasonable good breakfast. Clean bath rooms. Very kindly staff. Open 24/7. Recommendable place. Cheep. Here i can com in future too.
They blocked money on my credit card, but still didn't send it back to me. I just call to the reception, she apparently didn't know what to do. In 21st century, this is definitely not a kind of communication i expect.
We stayed here for 4 nights. Our room was very large with antiques. But the air conditioning was so noisy it disrupted our sleep. The reception is on the first floor so you have to buzz in and out. Breakfast is good served in rooms...More
We arrived in the morning and were told the room would be ready at 2 pm. We left our luggage and went off exploring the city. However when we returned after 2 pm the previous occupant still had not checked out. The desk staff were...More

as Huskies92 pointed out the Hotel is not in walkable distance from Keleti train station but is doable taking the metro but depends how much luggage you have and if you are comfortable using the metro. You would need to take the M2 line towards Deli Palyaudvar but get off at Deak Ferenc and change to get the M3 line towards Kobanya-Kispest and get off at Kalvin Ter, which is the second stop. I didn't use metro to go to train station but I did use metro for airport and to other places. It's easier if you buy day pass or travel card. Check the Metro map to give you an idea.
I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Kalvin it's close to a lot of places.
