This hotel was perfect for our busy family of 4. We stayed in a 4 single bedroom that was as big as a suite. The charm of this hotel made it the favorite of our trip. It's essentially an old apartment building conversion. Beds were pretty firm, but linens were nice. It was very clean. The shower/tub was adequate. Breakfast...

Our room was a large suite at a very moderate price. The room was clean and comfortable. It was dated but that gave it a quaint feel. Hotel facilities were limited - there was no central lounge. Wi-fi reception was patchy and unreliable. Staff were very courteous and helpful. There did not appear to be access for those with limited...

We booked the room with three single beds. It was huge. High ceilings. Hardwood floors. Didn`t feel like a hotel room. Great water pressure. Lots of hot water. Old building which added to its charm. Spotless. Receptive and accommodating staff. Despite the loud air conditioner, it kept the room cool. In-room mini-fridge. Breakfast was more than sufficient with a good...

I stayed here for about 10 nights in June. Below is my review of the place. Airport to Hotel public trans - Easy get on Bus 200E to last stop (Kőbánya-Kispest), catch the metro line and get off at Kalvin Ter. There are a few street exits, use the Kalvin one. When you get out, you on Tram platform in...

We (two adults and one child) stayed at Kalvin House recently on our visit to Budapest. We chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and Rick Steves recommendation. The hotel is indeed in a great location, it’s a block from the Great Market Hall and is a convenient starting point for all the Budapest sights. The hotel is also a...

I visited Budapest on december with friends, and chose to stay here. Good decision. Location of the hotel is excellent. The room was huge (for three people) and always clean. Staff was nice and breakfast, well, basic. The hallway/stairs had a pretty bad sewer smell, but not the rooms.

Kalvin House - or Kálvin Ház - is located close to the square Kálvin tér and the great market hall. Only a short walk to the subway, but with a good pair of legs you can walk to most of the attractions in the inner city. Our double room was quite large, and there was aircondition, which was essential during...

We chose Hotel kalvin because of the location, just down from the Great Hall Market, close to great shopping pedestrian way, close to the Jewish Quarter, and a walk over the nearest Bridge to the Buda side where you will immediately find one of the famous bath houses. Our room was spacious and with character. Breakfast was ample although not...

Love the decor- very oldie worldie - clean rooms, helpful staff. The breakfast could do with a little more choice, something hot perhaps? Maybe an omelette or bacon? Just cereals and a small selection of breads. Fresh fruit would be better as an alternative. The rooms are very spacious. No power showers but okay.
