Went to the Astoria restaurant twice as it was great. The food and service were great and both times there was live classical music--you really felt you were in Budapest. And the price was very reasonable.

We enjoyed our stay at the Astoria. Good service, excellent location for at first time trip to Budapest. The breakfast restaurant was a bit crowded at times, but no big deal. Our room was quite large and had a small balcony.

We hade a familly trip to Budapest, and a great stay a Astoria. 2 seniors, 5 students and 4 "normal". We like the old style building all of us. The oldest ones also like the interieur. Staff was very friendly and polite. The famous restaurant Astoria was a great plesure of itself, not only for the good breakfast. Danubius Hotels...

You can't beat the location - city center right at the Astoria metro stop, but you don't ever need a metro because you are within walking distance to EVERYTHING! The building his gorgeous & the lobby sophisticated, but the rooms are modern and updated. Large bathrooms, and comfortable beds. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, safe area, even for a...

This hotel is of a very high standard and its location is perfect in the city centre, right next to the Metro for travelling farther afield. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was excellent, the room was of a good size with a bit of traffic noise. The only negative was that when we stored our bags...

Stayed at the Danubius Astoria recently and experienced some good experiences and some not so good. The good points are that the staff were both helpful and courteous. The hotel throughout was very clean and rooms cleaned everyday. The hotel reception is beautiful with green marble and period features. The hotel is in a great location with a Metro Station...

The hotel is extremely well situated in Budapest - it is near to everything! The staff is very welcoming and accomodating, and the hotel itself is nice. Although! The cleaning could be improved, we did not find that our room was that well cleaned. The breakfast is good, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the hotel is also a bit loud -...

The hotel is very well located with the river front, shops, market, and good restaurants all within a 10 minute walk. The metro and tourist bus, taxi and metro are right outside the hotel. I was really pleased that we opted to stay in one of the more traditional style buildings. The interior is impressive, well maintained and clean. I...

Very good service. While bits of the hotel may be a little run-down/ need some updating/renovation, the staff was exceedingly service-minded and helpful. The rooms spacious enough an the location pretty perfect - right by a subway station and very central location.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
