This hotel is located close to relevant tourist interests. Although it seems like a huge hotel, it is mid size. Their personnel is very courteous; they communicate easily in English. There is a hop-on-hop-off stop a few steps from the hotel. There are several places to choose from to get a drink or dine. Their breakfast buffet is well stocked....

My wife and I are finishing off our Eastern European vacation in Budapest. We booked this hotel via the internet. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were met by Betti. She was amazing!! My wife and I stay in a lot of hotels all over the world and they pretty much all look the same. It's the staff (Betti) that...

The staff is very helpful. They were always smiling, eager to help, and spoke excellent English (not everyone in Budapest does). They gave me recommendations on where to go for a run, where to eat dinner and where to have a good coffee. Renata at the front desk and the other two girls there during the day are a huge...

The hotel is perfectly located in the city centre, very close to most of the touristic attractions. The staff of the hotel is very friendly, especially at the Front Office. Before our arrival, we asked for a couple of facilities in the rooms and it was all perfectly arranged during our arrival. So, just one time asking is enough, the...

Hotel was in a great location to visit the city. The buffet breakfast was great and the rooms were lovely. Only two criticisms that come to mind is that the rooms have no tea or coffee making facilities and the bar in the hotel wasn't open. There was, however a lovely Irish bar opposite which we would use as a...

We had a good time, in Budapest at Regency. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is great. The only thing that was not too good was the coffee, it didnt taste good. The location in the center of downtown is another plus. The reception staff is very helpful too.

The hotel is located quite in the center of town but the entrance is not easy to spot as it is hidden behind some pillars. Just look for a big archway. Inside, the first impression is good and the rooms are spacious and clean. And that's all that is good about it. Do not go there in the winter as...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
