We stayed for 4 nights in January. The rooms were clean and simple if a little small. They were also very warm given that it was a bit chilly outside! The location cannot really be faulted. The central square is only a couple of minutes walk away and everything in the old town is easilly accessable on foot. There are...

Stunning hotel, superb value, perfect location. The room was lovely, the bath was out of this world for soaking the cold bones after -15 degrees C February weather. The staff were really helpful, breakfast was good but the attached bar was a tad souless.

Hotel is in a great location, and Tallinn is so compact that everywhere in the old town and the port are in easy walking distance of the hotel. Bedroom quite basic, beds OK, bathroom was good. Breakfast was fine. Go to the top of St Olaf's Church spire for amazing views across the city.

The Vana Wiru is "OK". That's not a criticism; it's just that it's perfectly adequate and not a great deal more. Good points: The location is very good - right in the Lower Town (which is just a couple of minutes walk to the Town Hall Square; about 15 mins walk to the top of Toompea Hill). Quite hard to...

We had a ladies gathering in Tallinn, and luckily chose our base in hotel Vana Wiru. We reserved 2 junior suites with shower, but were upgraded (maybe they had problems wih our reservation) to suites with saunas. Everything was spotless in rooms and in hotel. Location of the hotel is good and had nothing to complain with the breakfast but...

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the hotel room to make a judgement! I had booked with the hotel directly some months before my trip and as I was in Tallinn the morning before (staying at another hotel) I thought I would pop in the Vanu Wiru and confirm my booking. The lady at reception confirmed the booking and off...

After arriving from Berlin on a very smooth EasyJet flight, we passed through Customs. I purchased bus tickets at the airport for about 85 US cents for the easy quick ride into town. On the bus, I was showing my map to a couple (who happened to be Finnish) and caught the attention of an older local woman. They all...

I thought the hotel was going to be bright and the reception area busy and bustling with people. However, it was just really the breakfast area with a lounge of chairs and a TV. All very clean and bright etc... however no one there, lacked the atmosphere i was expecting. We had a junior suite room, on the 5th floor,...

I booked this hotel after using some Air Miles to get a bit of a discount and I wasn't disappointed. this is a great hotel and well worth the money – it’s actually not blue anymore in case you were thinking of directing someone there more a cream colour...its in a great part of the old town which I think...

Stayed here one night in the middle of June 2007. The location of the hotel is really great as it is situated in the Old Town. The lobby is also very nice, but unfortunately I can't say the same for the room we stayed in. There were plenty of stains on the carpet and the "view" was towards a brick...
