Our group (8) spent a wonderful two-day golf break at Riga. Stayed in Garden Palace and found hotel and service very good. We were happy to get our rooms from roof, where we stayed our rooms and huge balconies!! next to each other. Rooms were just what we expected - clean and spacey enough. We didn't at the hotel, but...

This hotel looks nothing special from the outside and the reception area is a little dark and ornate, (very typically Russian in style), but it was a super place to stay. Our bedroom was comfortable, spacious and clean, and we had specially requested a quiet room. This we got and it had the bonus of a terrace which overlooked a quiet...

We had booked an upgraded room with balcony and ended up with lame excuses and standard room with no balcony. Internet connection did not work in this room and air conditioning was not working either. Generally bad service. Too bad that great location close to downtown is spoiled by their service.

Location is really good - in the very center of the old Riga. Hotel is well-kept, rooms and facilities are clean. However, note that the rooms are pretty small and basic. Breakfast room is also too small - there was a problem with free seats in the morning. I would say that this is a good 3-star hotel by European...

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel for a two night city break. The location couldn’t be better and is ideal to walk to all central bars and restaurants. We had heard noise could be a problem with some of the hotels nearer the main square but the Garden Palace is situated one street back in a quieter location so we were not...

Booked a Suite through hotels.com and received a 30% discount for staying 3 nights. The hotel was very good. The service was excellent, the girls at the reception never disappointed us when we needed help og had any questions. Our room looked quite old, but it was kinda cool. The bathroom was huge with a small jacuzzi and a quite...

You can't beat the location for seeing the old Town and walking distance to bus station. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful and try for an upgrade if they are not busy and you may get a nice room with a private terrace as we did. Welcome drink vouchers a nice touch for wine and/or beer but watch the...

This fabulous location does not excuse the fact the hotel is abysmal. Our room was horrendous for a "4* hotel"; the walls were dirty, the paint was peeling off the window sill and it lacked any character or charm. There was no mirror in the bedroom, so if the bathrrom was in use, I had to wait until I could...

A beautiful, quiet and clean hotel in the heart of the old Riga. Rooms (junior suite&double) were in good shape and had air-source heat pumps to keep them warm. Our requests (extra pillows, dining reservations) were handled nicely. There was free High Speed Internet in the rooms, which was nice. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant itself offered quality food...

We stayed 5 days and I have to say that this hotel deserves 3* and 2* for the rooms. Breakfeasts were poor and every day the same... If you are not looking for 4* hotel I reccomend it otherwise not. The big advantage of this hotel is its location - right in the heart of the city.
