I search for the hotel on "booking" website and the room I choose (photographed on the website) was compitely different from the one they gave me, but the price was the same! The room was little, uncomfortable, old furnished and the bath was even worse
We spent four nights in Monemvasia, and we used the Bastione Malvasia as our home base while there. The room was clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly; however, the best parts were the design and the amazing views! There were rocks coming out of...More
Lovely hotel at the very end of town up against the walls. All the hotels in town seem to have the word Malvasia in them for some reason. And they all have to maintain the local architecture and this hotel using that to it's advantage!...More

The parking is along the road that links the island to the mainland. It's a case of driving along till you find a space, which we didn't find a problem but it is best to drive up to the town gates to drop off your luggage. One of us stayed with the bags while the driver drove back to park.
You then have to carry/roll your cases to the hotel at the end of the island. It takes maybe 5-10 mins, over cobblestones, but it is worth it! Think twice only if you have mobility issues.
