We stayed here for three nights in August. Got upgraded to room (number 4) with tiny balcony and beautiful sea view.
Enjoyed the peace, room tidyness, friendly staff and generous continental breakfast of this hotel.

Monemvasia is tiny with all the buildings huddled close together on the hillside. The hotel is right at the end of the main street so you get peace and quiet, however it is a struggle with your luggage over the cobble stones if you are...More
Nicely restored castle house with great views over the sea and castle walls. Good breakfast and nice cafe with outdoor seating. Situated at the end of the village in a quite location (except possibly for the bar downstairs, if you stay on the first floor)....More

First of all it is located in the castle of Monemvasia. This castle is something unique, in the whole world maybe, it seems like living many years ago in ancient Greece. There is a small village retro, traditional restaurants and coffee bars. All rental departments...More

The parking is along the road that links the island to the mainland. It's a case of driving along till you find a space, which we didn't find a problem but it is best to drive up to the town gates to drop off your luggage. One of us stayed with the bags while the driver drove back to park.
You then have to carry/roll your cases to the hotel at the end of the island. It takes maybe 5-10 mins, over cobblestones, but it is worth it! Think twice only if you have mobility issues.
