Pos : Clean and quiet, beautiful location Cons: The rooms were so small, there is absolutely no place to even keep your luggage. Location is beautiful but its very hard to get there. Its 15 minute uphill climb from train station and also the hotel has no elevators and we were in 3rd floor. Carrying the luggage through the small...

We stayed at the Horner Pub Hotel on a last minute weekend trip to Lauterbrunnen. The hotel is more a hostel with one shared bathroom per gender on each floor and sparse accommodations. The staff was perfectly friendly and was willing to hold our bags for several hours after check out. The pub is under the rooms and it can...

We have never stayed at the hotel but the Hornerpub is my favourite bar of all time. We have stayed in the Lauterbrunnen valley on 5 different occasions and always spent every night at the Hornerpub. There is always a friendly fun atmosphere, good reasonable priced food and great beers. We have met people from all over the world at...

Angie our host is a gem of a person. We booked a small apartment but were upgraded to a very large 2 bed apartment for the same rate. She is very approachable and always reply you in detail before you book. Since it was sunday evening (had planned to buy stuff from Co-op next to Lauterbrunnen station) and we were...

This place is very clean but very basic. My husband and I got a room with two double beds. We had a desk in the corner and one chair. There is a closet that has a key so you can lock up your stuff. The closet is plenty big to hold a large paragliding kit. We also had two very...

It was advertised well in the pictures that only 1 double bed was in the room. The only thing that could have improved this place was 2 double beds. The place was very spacious with the best views on 3 sides of the apartment and 2 balconies to enjoy. I would stay here again even if I had to sleep...

The Swiss Alps is undoubtedly an expensive vacation destination. The Hotel Horner might not have typical luxury hotel features but earns an excellent rating due to its hospitality and dog-friendly, tourist-friendly attitude. We have stayed at luxury 4 or 5 star hotels in Lucerne or Interlaken but always book the Hotel Horner when available for its prime location, very comfortable...

Was recommended this pub by our chalet, and Initially it became our watering hole. For 4 days we arrived for our regular apres ski, spending around 100 Swiss Francs a night (£70) We noticed a nice corner table for around 7 people was reserved each day. We asked if we could use one of the chairs for our group, but...

The hotel is over a pub. The room itself is simple but clean, with shared bath. You check in at the pub downstairs, and the proprietor was very nice. However, this seems to be the after-hours hangout for a rowdy bunch at the outdoor tables, even after closing time. We stayed for four nights. Although it wasn't bad on the...

This was our second stay at the Horner Pub apartments. This time, we brought 16 people, 12 of whom we housed in apartments 3 and 4. Angie, the owner of the pub, has several properties, so to be specific, these are viewable at http://www.hornerpub.ch/apartment/. This is a great spot for an active group of individuals. The apartments have plenty of...

“The bath tub was hard for the older members of the family. The apartment on the bottom level was a shower that we were able to use for a few days. The first floor apartment had bunk beds and then the living room had a pull out bed. The church was a bit loud on the living room side.”

“We stayed in Jungfrau (single bedroom with kitchenette) and Schilthorn (one bedroom with kitchenette) right next door, so our two balconies were right next to one another, with that same incredible view. It is so worth it to stay here just for that view. But also for the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall atmosphere of this place, which is not a hotel but a true Chalet and also Teresa's home (hence the beautiful garden which surrounds it and is part of your view).”
