We were looking forward to spending two restful nights luxury accommodation with a sea view. Upon driving up the dirt road to our cabin, which adjoined another unit, we found a motel like unit, probably constructed and fitted out cheaply 30 years ago, that had never been refurbished, and was grubby and noisy from the non stop trail of traffic...

Cosy and comfortable cottage, stunning view and nice staff. Just perfect. Akaroa was our first stop after the long trip from Europe and to stay in the cottage in this wonderful landscape was a great start to our holidays in New Zealand.

Arrived from Hanmer Springs having originally past the place, which is situated on the right as you go down the hill to the town. We were given the key and drove up to the semi detached cottage. It consists of a bed, dinette and sitting area with a wet room shower and toilet. The view from the bed window and...

One night stay, wish we could have stayed for more! Gentlemen at the counter was wonderful and friendly, attentive to detail. The cottages and grounds were wonderful. Ordered bottle of champagne, it was confirmed on arrival and icy cold. Very helpful with dinner recommendations. Highly recommend.

My sister and I booked a surprise night away for my Mum and chose this gorgeous location just out of Akaroa. The cottage was tucked away surrounded by garden and bird song. It was a sunny afternoon so we relaxed on the private deck, drinking our bubbles and it was pure bliss. The only down side was the fold out...

The grounds of this hotel were absolutely beautiful, lots of birds in the mornings. Not much can match the view of the bay from our family area...it was truly beautiful. The rooms were clean and kitchen well stocked. We stayed in the 3 bedroom and the upstairs shower did not seem to have enough water pressure for a teenager with...

Nestled into the hillside and with some perfect views of the harbour, the cottages are a good size, well-maintained and give plenty of quiet privacy. Some have better views than others, but all are good for a few days' tranquil relaxation. The staff are accommodating, helpful and friendly - and arranged a discount for a dolphin-spotting tour. It's up a...

We were totally enchanted with these cottages. They are not very modern but are well maintained and clean. We thought the homes were very charming and spacious. The views are amazing! The reception were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and tours.
