Lovely location and cabins very cute, far enough away from the other cabins to be private. A mix up with the bookings led to a small stand off, but I stood my ground and won the day. What a shame it came to a stand off. The breakfast in our cabin had curdled butter capsules, I rang to advise but...

Views are fantastic and cottages are private and quaint however they are in dire need of some investment into fixing or replacing broken or missing infrastructure items, updating the bathrooms and replacing uncomfortable, saggy springed old mattresses that are not commensurate with the high end rates charged. Disappointing given the location and views are first rate.

Loved this place - the only downside was that we could only stay one night. We want to come back! Gorgeous view from the deck over Akaroa Harbour, enjoyed listening to the tuis and especially enjoyed the gas fire. Friendly staff, too, who had some excellent recommendations for dinner in town. We had one of the adjacent studios but weren't...

After a long day traveling with little children Akaroa Cottages was just the welcome little home we were looking for. Beds super comfy, management super friendly & helpful & an absolutely beautiful little cottage in silent surrounds & a beautiful view. On the morning of checkout we were running a little late at breakfast & rang to check when time...

Another blindingly good choice. These well-equipped cottages sit on the hill overlooking the town of Akaroa. We were welcomed by name and provided with directions to our Seaview Studio which was well appointed with a breath-taking view of the bay. We could park right alongside the cottage, a facility that can’t be overrated when you are burdened with as many...

Great little chakets wel equipped and comfortable, beds soft and supprtive, easily operated fire adds a cosy touch. Views over bay pleasing and relaxing. Staff very helpful and friendly. Go there for the simplicity and relaxation, come away hoping to return.

This property is about 1 hour from Christchurch and a good alternative to staying in a city, where there is heavy construction all around due to recent and past earthquakes. This property could use a facelift but the staff and quaintness make up for it.. This is not a luxury hotel. Cabins are cozy with small kitchenettes. The town itself...

We booked this thinking we were booking luxury accommodation for a very special event and what we got was a smelly, dirty, out dated room. The plus was the location is amazing and we did enjoy the view. This place is not worth the cost at all! A complete disappointment for a very special occasion.

Spent 2 nights in a seaview studio. Quite a drive out onto the Banks Peninsula and the approach up the drive was a bit steep but worth it for the beautiful room with excellent kitchenette, bathroom, lovely comfortable bed and stunning view over the trees to the town and bay. Short drive into town and we had a wonderful boat...

We had booked two nights here but didn't stay at all as the picture of the hut/room on the water we thought we had booked was not what we were given. The picture on our reservation confirmation clearly shows a free standing hut near the water. Instead our hut was not free standing but an adjoining hut, it was right...

Hi cyberlion, Thank you for your feedback. As you were traveling with Waltercorgi, I would like to reiterate my disappointment receiving your feedback and that you did not wish to stay with us.
