I've stayed here a couple of times and always aim for a room here if I have a night in Picton (book in advance, it's popular!). Bruce is fantastic. The house is warm and friendly, filled with little cosy nooks and fireplaces and old fashioned homely items and all sorts of circus toys. There are soft armchairs and hammocks and...

Though we just stayed one night we experienced the full hospitality of this place. As a family of three we were able to book into a 3 bed room and had our privacy when we needed it. Our child was immediately friends with the owners’ cat »Omi« and the atmosphere in the shared kitchen was great. In the evening one...

This hostel is very quirky, with circus props everywhere! Everyone was SUPER friendly, and everything was very clean. They even had organic eggs you could buy in the morning! A very nice place to spend the night.

We only stayed one night here but really enjoyed the experience. The rooms were roomy, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen and dining area had everything you could want. My niece was delighted to be able to show off her skills on the slack line. There aren't many hostels which have one of those set up. We loved the...

This was a super relaxed, home-like and inviting environment with free range eggs and the loveliest garden full of fresh herbs. Sadly we had to leave early to catch the ferry but I can imagine the perfect slow morning with this welcoming family, sitting in the hammock at the porch, sipping coffee. Thank you Bruce, see you next time!

We stayed here for two nights and wanted to stay more! The hostel is so close to the town, ferry, supermarkets and restaurants and there is even free bikes to use - perfect for a trip to the supermarket! The hostel is so cosy with spacious rooms, powerful hot showers, a massive herb/fruit garden and a friendly cat too! But...

I just stayed one night there but I wish I could have stayed longer. It was a great stay and I enjoyed it a lot. Bruce and the staff are great. It's a very clean and comfortable house and garden. Hammocks are very comfortable.

This isn't so much a hostel as a place where people come together to briefly become a community. Due to the small size, it feels quite homely. Everything is nicely decorated, as well as clean. Our room was spacious and light. The bed wasn't the biggest, if you're particularly tall you may get slightly chilly toes, but it was just...

Really lovely place to stay - comfy bed, hot showers, beautiful garden, well-stocked kitchen and very close to Picton town centre, and the ferry port. It was just a shame we couldn't stay longer! Highly recommended. $5 breakfast is a must - fresh bread, homemade feijoa jam and freshly brewed coffee was a perfect start to the day. Thank you...

This place is a perfect place to stay while in Picton. Bruce gave us a very warm welcome and he recommended us Lochmara. What a great recommendation. The hostel is very clean, the kitchen is very well equipped and you have a wide range of herbs available. The only thing we didn't liked is that the double rooms are right...
