A stay at Jugglers Rest felt more like visiting a friend than staying in a hostel. No bunk beds, lovely communal indoor and outdoor spaces, short walk to Picton town centre (or grab a free bike) and a very friendly host who shares her home with guests. A welcome retreat.

I stayed at Jugglers Rest for four nights and it was over far too quickly! I live in Wellington so took the ferry over for a hooping and writing retreat. The whole experience was beautiful, Nikki has created a sanctuary with a vibe that I have honestly never felt in any other backpackers during my travels. Juggler or not (you...

Definitely the best backpackers I stayed in on my travels around NZ. Enjoyed my first night so much I booked again on the way back up for an extra two nights. Really homely, loved the kitchen, but best of all was Nikki who owns the place - she was so welcoming and suggested great things to do for my onward...

Jugglers Rest is one of my favorite places to stop in NZ - Nikki is so warm and hospitable, offers great advice on things to see nearby and is just a pleasure to talk to. The hostel is very clean, the room I was in was cosy and the bed was comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped and the fresh bread...

Absolutely loved staying at the Jugglers Rest! I spent my time sunning myself in the hammocks, playing with the free hula hoops and poi and I was lucky enough to be there when there was a living room concert and we all ended up joining in on various instruments. Its so nice to stay in a hostel without bunk beds...

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Comfortable rooms with comfortable beds, great common room, nice kitchen, a garden where you can harvest vegetables, fruit and herbs. Great outdoor area. Nice and very helpful staff! Absolutely worth the price!

If you are looking for a warm lovely place that just feels like coming home then Jugglers Rest is just the place for you. Snuggled into an enchanted secret garden you get welcomed into the owners home as part of the family. Prepare to feel homesick after leaving. Every room is spotless and individually decorated. I would recommend this place...

Pretty cool place a bit out of town in Picton, really good for people into the whole juggling and dreadlock traveler thing. The lady who runs it is really friendly and offers free organic food and lots of smiles, though did feel there was a bit of a clique to it.. have to be organic, frowned upon for using internet.....

What a little gem this hostel is! Really get a great vibe as soon as you cross the threshold. Nikki the host is warm and welcoming and she has certainly left an imprint on the hostel. Really feels like home from home. It's clean, comfortable and friendly. Only wished I had booked another night to really chillax.

I stayed at Jugglers rest for 3 nights - I only wanted to stay for one, but it was just too nice! Jugglers rest is a unique hostel with a vibe around it that makes you feel comfortable and at home from the moment you step through the door. The owner is very nice, motivating and helpful, and the cat...
