We stayed in Whatamonga for two nights and it was the highlight of all the places we stayed in NZ. The cabins had to-die-for views and were clean and comfortable and Collette was just the perfect host with breakfasts that the children will be talking about for a long time to come especially those lovely muffins! Thank you

After weeks traveling, and spending a week at bus stops in windy Wellington I began to feel a little uneasy since I seemed to be just biding my time until my trip ended. I made a last-minute reservation to spend my last four nights with Colette in her beautiful corner of the world. Thanks can never convey the warm times...

The views were spectacular, although it rained when we arrived it was still breathtaking. Thew cat's on the premises were really friendly if you're an animal lover. Collette is a friendly and engaging host and we spent a lot of our time speaking to her about New Zealand and she gave us tips on which wineries to visit. I would...

We stayed in a self-contained cabin at Whatamonga Homestay for 4 nights to do some hiking on the Queen Charlotte Track and explore the Picton-Blenheim-Marlborough Sounds area. The accommodation was excellent, with the cabin providing plenty of space and all the facilities we needed. There is no TV or Internet connection in the cabin, which provided a nice break from...

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. Whatamonga sure is great place to base yourself if you want to explore the region's sights. Our guests do struggle to leave the spectacular views behind as they begin their day's excursion, but it is always so nice to come back to. Colette hopes to see you back in New Zealand...

The whole package was amazing, stunning views, accommodation very comfortable and sharing the lifestyle for 3 days which was so different. Picton a drive away and if open the drive on the back road to Nelson has such great views at every turn. Thank you Collette for your advice and for having us at your very very special Homestay.

After spending 5 weeks in NZ, Whatamonga was in our top 3 experiences. It is just minutes from the ferry on Queen Charlotte Sound. Spectacular views from your room and bed in either of their 2 chalets, along with a balcony that puts you in the treetops. Colette was a great host, inviting us for cocktails when we arrived and...

The accomodation is run by a lovely lady. We had a very warm welcome. Our apartment was very comfortable and has great views to Queen Charlotte Sound. We stayed here for 2 nights. The views are amazing - we saw dolphins and a stingray over breakfast! It is a studio room with a sink/fridge and microwave. There is no tv - but we were too busy looking at the view to notice! We made full use of the kayaks and loved messing around at the beach.

The views at Whatamonga Homestay are stunning! Amazing outlook over the Queen Charlotte Sound which mirrors the website, which is pleasing when you book on-line. Colette was a terrific host who endeavoured to make our 3 night stay a memorable occasion. The absence of TV and internet made it a wonderful relaxing stay.

“There are 2 stand-alone cabins and both are great. There is also accommodation on the ground floor of the home that offers a bath and 1-2 bedrooms. The 2-bedroom option is really to accommodate those traveling with children, family or friends who require a 2d bedroom. If the ground floor is rented to a party using only 1 of the bedrooms, the 2d unit is NOT rented.”
