My friend and I stayed for one night, and it was great met really nice people and is a lovely place to stay, they even have breakfast for free and chocolate pudding night with ice cream for everyone, which makes your stay nicer. Totally recommended

We regret just staying for one night at Sequoia Lodge. The place is very clean, the staff are friendly, the beds could have been a bit better. The hostel is located a 15 minute walk from 'downtown' Picton in a quiet residential area opposite a park. We can definitely recommend staying at the Sequioa Lodge just for the pudding and...

I stayed in Sequoia Lodge for almost 2 month because I was working in Picton. This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The service is very good, the hostel is one of the cleanest ones I've ever been in, the lounge and kitchen are really big and really nice to stay and cook in. The chocolate...

The Sequoia was a convenient and nice stop over after the late ferry from Wellington, not too far from town, with friendly hosts. The beds were okay, the shared bathroom clean, if a little short on showers (busy hostel meant a bit of a wait). Kitchen facilities were good, and the various social areas nice to relax around (a good...

I particularly enjoyed my stay in sequoia lodge thanks to the lovely house, comfortable and sunny rooms and a really nice woofers team. There are some beautiful tracks close to the lodge and all what you need to enjoy your stay (beach, bar, resto, banks)

This is the second time I have stayed, unfortunately I will not go back, as this time it was not a good experience. The hosts are nice, the room was clean they are the positives. The room we had was next to the carpark, which is a loose gravel. So when the people arriving on the late night ferry arrived...

Stayed for one night in a four person backpackers room. Overall the place is pretty nice with large common areas (including kitchen) and easily accessible location. The wifi connection is okay and my bed was good but my friends was terrible and they said they would rather sleep on the floor.

Great wee place to stay when you're looking for budget accommodation in the area. Rooms clean and tidy but some have shared facilities that can be busy - especially in the morning. The cooking facilities are good and if you prefer to eat out there is a great choice in the town. Worth a try.

We were recommended this place by some friends and loved our stay. We were in a 6 bed dorm for two nights. The room was a good size and comfortable, could do with some lockers and more power points though. The biggest thing for us (aside from free chocolate pudding and ice cream) was how clean the whole place is....
