We stayed for two nights to do some hiking in the area. The hikes to El Caburní and to the cave at La Batata can be started on foot from the hotel and are very much worth it. We stayed in the low-rise part of the hotel, and although the rooms are large and the towel-blanket figures as mentioned on...

We stayed 2 nights in Los Helechos in half board. Do not expect any luxuary, but the hotel is good for a short stay and for a trip to Trinidad and a walk in the mountains. The room was quiet and clean, but dated. On 2 mornings, the water of the shower was not warm enough. The resto was good and...

There aren't a lot of options in the mountains, especially for groups. This place is functional, but not great. Only one key per room, mediocre air conditioning (Luckily the nights were cool because of the elevation.), thin matresses. The buffet is large with many choices, however none were very tasty. For breakfast, an omelette is your best bet. The pool...

I stayed at this hotel on my way to the Topes de Collantes mountain range. We had Dinner and Breakfast at this hotel. The Dinner was typical of Cuban tourist food. The breakfast was also okay, I recommend getting the omelette as opposed to the eggs, as the omellettes are fresh and made in front of you, to your specifications....

The food in the hotel is horrible. I did not eat anything during the two days we stayed there. Two of our group of ten became ill: throwing up and diarrea. It is best that you avoid this hotel. The pool did not work any more and the other facilities are totally run out of order. The staff is impolite:...

We stayed here for one night during a 2 day trip from Havana. It is a strange little place very reminscent of communist hotels in Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. The room was spacious but we were a bit worried that we might get bitten by mosquitos (although we didn't). We stayed in the chalets. I had no idea that there was...

I stayed here two nights during an International Expeditions tour of Cuba. I would not recommend this hotel and would think there are better hotels in the area. Here are the pros: Location in the middle of the park. Here are the cons: broken shower head, luke warm water, rooms and grounds are old and tired, mediocre AC, bugs in...

We stayed here one night during a trip in Trinidad. The hotel doesn't look that bad from outside. Once inside the rooms you'll start to see the problems. The rooms were not very clean, there were spider webs everywhere and the toilet was literally falling apart. Definitely not recommended
