Definitely one of best casas of the seven we stayed at during our trip around Cuba. The casa is located a short walk from the historical centre with Plaza Mayor and all places you will wish visit in Trinidad. It consists of two parts, the real colonial-style house where the hosts Mathilde and Felix lives and where you will be...

In our 16 days in Cuba we only stayed in 2 Casas and this one is a traditional style Casa. The owners were friendly, although be prepared almost no english is spoken. The breakfasts were good and very generous, the patio garden area was shady and a pleasant place to read a book. Location was great in the old town,...

To begin with, it would certainly be a stretch to find better located accommodation in Trinidad; Casa Tamargo is positioned far enough away from the Plaza Mayor to avoid the constant bustle and clamour and yet is close enough to venture in with little effort. On top of this, our hosts, although their English was somewhat lacking, were ever cheerful...

Felix and Matilde are very welcoming and made us feel at home immediately in their beautiful colonial casa. Our room was comfortable and quiet with an excellent shower. We enjoyed the courtyard, an oasis of calm with dozens of lovely potted plants. Breakfast was very tasty, a delightful start to the day. Casa Tamargo was a real pleasure and enhanced...

This has to be the best casa in Trinidad. Felix and Mathilde were so friendly and accommodating, as were their staff. They really were incredibly helpful during our stay. The breakfasts were very good and gave us an opportunity to meet other travellers and share experiences. The casa is located in the town a short walk from the centre and...

We stumbled across Casa Tamargo during our trip to Trinidad Cuba last year and vowed to stay there on our trip this year. Our group stayed at the Iberostar hotel, which while nice, couldn’t begin to match the ambiance of Casa Tamargo. Matilda and Felix are delightful hosts and you immediately feel right at home with them. They have been...

We did a tour all through Cuba. All casas were good, but two were really fantastic: Sol Bahia in Cienfuegos and Casa Tamargo in Trinidad. A perfect location, very comfortable appartment, extended and tastefull breakfast and the hospitality and warmth of two of the most friendly people we have ever met in whole Cuba! Felix and Mathilde, we love you...

I have to say, that staying at Casa Tamargo, was the highlight of our trip to Cuba. We stayed there for 2 nights, and wished it was more than that. When we got to the casa, Felix welcomed us. He is a quite a character! He introduced us to his wife Matilde, and we talked for almost 1 hour. From...

We spent three nights in Casa Tamargo last November and we had a very good time. The house is a charming colonial abode (beautiful colours!), very well located, with a few nice, clean rooms distributed around a very peaceful patio. The noise from the street was minimum, which is definitely a plus in Cuba! Breakfast was very good, with bread,...
