State run hotel on the outskirts of Holguin. Room was alright, so were the staff though the food left a lot to be desired. Decent pool, internet available and generally relaxed. Taxis outside will take you into the town for about 3 Euros. Nothing of interest near the hotel though.

We spent one day here as our flight was cancelled so we did not have a reservation. The charge was CUC52 (equivalent to USD52) for use of the room for 5-6 hours. The room we were given was in the wing which was being renovated and so it was extremely noisy. Hence, we spent most of the day by the...

For a 3night visit it wasn't too bad. The hotel staff is very friendly and the staff at the restaurant as well. Just make sure to ask for a room with a bathroom that has a toilet seat I was in Room 522 and it did. Not every room is equipped with a toilet seat. A few rooms on the...

This is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. The rooms are shabby and dirty. The dinner buffet was barely eatable, the breakfast was not any better. The worst of all was the poor service at every level, from the restaurant staff to the staff at reception. They made you feel like a beggar and did not reply...

Nothing worked the way it is supposed to except for the elevators and the front desk staff. Some lights in the room did not work, internet was sketchy if at all, showers had broken nozzles, and worst of all the staff in the restaurants and bars were very poor at their jobs. I wanted a glass of wine and one...

Not only is the Hotel not well cared for, the rooms are dirty and musty with black mold on the walls. We were there with a group of 27 people and occupied about 15 rooms. A number of us had to change rooms because of the mold but they all were bad. After the first day there we came back...

We arrived late evening on the 20th September after spending 2 weeks in different casas and hotels in Holguin, Trinidad and Santiago so only stayed one night as it was near the airport where we were due to leave the following day. When we arrived they did not have our booking which is excusable as we booked online the day...

I booked a single room B&B via the Islazul website for 2 days; the room, was adequate, and the breakfast reasonable for about £25 per night. I decided to extend my stay by a further 2 nights, and the Islazul website, accessed from the hotel's new 3 computer terminals, offered the same price. However, the website would not accept my...

If you have no other choice and stay only for one night, no further reading is required. However, if you are a hardcore individual traveler to Cuba and intend to stay longer in the hotel please note: Reception: -------------- When you enter the hotel you have to carry your luggage over a staircase up to the receptiondesk. There is hardly...

This is a large hotel in quite a small city. The hotel rooms are clean and the service is ok. There is a large pool with a bar and several restaurants. The hotel is situated a couple of kilometers from the city centre. Some evenings, quite late there is quite a noice music, but otherwise it is ok.
