The Tabard Inn was cobbled together in 1922 from three townhouses in the Mayfair neighborhood of D.C., just south and east of Dupont Circle. It may be the oldest continuously operated hotel in the city, and in the past when I stayed here in my youth with lovers and then husbands, it felt a little shabby at times. But when...

Dearest Kit-Kat- Thank you both for your kind review and your crispy wafer milk chocolate goodness. I too, am a long time fan of yours. In all seriousness- Thank you for your wonderful review of the Tabard. Your observation regarding the maintenance improvements of the Tabard is much appreciated. While, we do embrace our history, we also want to create...

My husband and I had a great brunch. He had the salmon hash, which was incredible. It's not always on the menu, but was easily one of the best brunch dishes I've tasted. I had the eggs Benedict with crab cakes which was also yummy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary celebration last night at the Tabard Inn. The food was delicious and plated elegantly, the service was attentive but not hovering, and they even treated us to a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our 26th anniversary.

The hostess was warm and friendly and gave me several seating options while waiting for my friend to show up. I chose the patio as they had ample heaters to keep us warm. The waiter was friendly and accommodating. Our beacon covered dates appetizer was burned but they replaced it with a new order and they were cooked to perfection....

For a business dinner had butternut squash ravioli. Creamy and sweet and lovely. Salads was nice and blueberry crumble for dessert was very tasty. Ambience in one of the meeting room was very cozy and comfortable. A little chilly so I recommend a jacket.

The inn was very nice, people and services was wonderful. Patricia at the front desk and the bartenders were very accommodating and professional. The inn is centrally located to the National Mall for those of you visiting for pleasure. I would imagine the same for business travel as well.

Well, that's my impression. I had a simply wonderful time my first time in Washington, in no small part because of the Tabard Inn. "Charming" doesn't completely describe it. It's comfortable, filled with fun art, and even the furniture is interesting. The staff is great, real people. As a woman traveling alone, it really helped that the staff was friendly...

We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights about 3 months before arriving (booked for 4-6 Oct).About 2 hours before check-in, I received an "urgent-call us immediately" email. When calling, we were told that due to reservation errors and requests by current guests to extend their stay, our rooms were no longer available! We asked that the Tabard find us comparable...

Dear Bob A- I am embarrassed by your recent experience at the Tabard. With regards to your room reservation, while we guarantee all reservations, room types are not fully guaranteed. Regardless, that is a behind the scenes problem and not one that you should have been made aware of. Our goal is for all of our guests to have a...

I absolutely loved this place for brunch. The doughnuts are homemade and taste so delicious. My husband had the quiche and I had the Syrian pancakes. The quiche was good but the Syrian pancakes were a little too sweet after having an appetizer of the doughnuts. My mistake, not theirs. All in all, we plan to go back, eat more...

I have been coming to the Tabard for 20+ years, and wanted to have one of their famous brunches. I sat at the bar, and the sun has definitely set on the standards. The place smelled stale. The crab cakes/benedict was mediocre - tasteless, the crab cakes squashed flat and more like hashbrowns, and the red pepper bernaise looked and...

Dear MA- Thank you for your very specific review of your recent brunch experience. I have passed on your experience to both our Executive Chef and Restaurant General Manager. I am sorry that we were not up to the standard that you have come to expect at the Tabard. Again- Thank you for patronage and your review. All the best-...
