The housekeeper, porters, concierge, desk staff and valet parkers were all helpful in the extreme. We originally went because of the convenient location (despite the high roon rate) but were pleasantly surprised in all other respects

Traveled with my 10 year old son and the location and room was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant had a good breakfast and dinner. Close to the metro station and walking distance to the sites.

Traveling with our two grandkids (boy-12 & girl 8) and our room suite was perfect! Clean and spacious for four. Staff was very accommodating and had pullout sofa made and ready for us. We booked an AARP Family rate that included a wonderful breakfast with hot items and some made to order. The on-site restaurant was excellent, kid friendly and...

This was a return visit. We chose this one because of a good previous visit and were not disappointed. 1 a.m. check in was not all that friendly, but efficient. All other encounters with desk staff were very pleasant. The beds are comfy; walls a little thin...but the group next to us was extra noisy, and the adjoining door probably...

My family took a long weekend visit to DC. We had not been there in years, and was a first time visit for our adult children and spouses. The convenience of this hotel was second to none, within walking distance to ALL DC sights. Above all, the staff was EXCEPTIONAL! Any question or recommendation asked of them was helpfully answered....

This hotel is located across from the McPherson Square station on the Metro. It is just a few stops to the Smithsonian station on the Mall. Typical HGI with free wifi. If you need travel directions, ask the Concierge. Ask the people at the front desk at your own risk -- I stopped by the front desk to get some...

I loved this hotel, it was a pleasure staying here. I wanted to stay longer!!!! I was relaxed and it was very very clean. This is perfect hotel near everything; within walking distance. I will definitely be visiting here again. I needed the relaxation while in DC because my son is 24 years old recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma which a...

Not a bad stay. Hotel is slightly costly, but it's location is great. Rooms are renovated, however, much of hotel still requires upgrade. My only "complaint" is that room service is only available certain hours when the kitchen is open. If you can get a discounted rate for your stay, then it's absolutely worth it!

Great location for walking to The White House, Spy Museum and many more, even for an 8 and 10 year old. The metro and big red bus stops (we paid for 2 days of unlimited stops) are within a block. This hotel is literally a block from the White House lawn. Hotel has a bar and restaurant. Buffet for breakfast...

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids - 7 & 10) just returned from a weekend in DC. We found a great deal which included free parking and breakfast each morning, and the location seemed great so we took it. It ended up being the perfect choice! The hotel was clean, quiet, and everyone was beyond pleasant and helpful....
