This place was perfect for my stay in DC. I walked most of the time I was in town and the hotel location was great. It was .8 mile to the White House, a mile to the Washington Monument. A convenience store and CVS were a couple of blocks away. A subway station was 3 blocks away. The room was large with frig, microwave, stove, and sink. The bed and pillows were super comfortable-I slept well. Breakfast was above average with a variety of eggs, meat, oatmeal, pastries, cereal, etc. Food was plentiful and well stocked. Your room key is required to use the elevators-a nice safety feature. Staff was helpful and friendly. Price was more than fair for a stay in DC. The one complaint I had was a lack of room service. I was told my room would be attended to every other day, but in 7 days it was cleaned but once. The front desk said they are short staffed. Overall just a great experience. I'll definitely stay again if I return.…
In September, my partner and I packed our Chicago bags to explore life in one of our favorite cities, DC, after accepting a job offer! -We live one life - let's make it OURS! We're on night 200 of an extended stay, and we couldn't be more pleased. All Staff has been kind and accommodating. To name a few... Antoine Danielle Katia Porsche Phyllis Jason Jeremy "Thank you for always greeting me with a smile and warm welcome. It goes a long way." The location is fabulous and feels safe! ON Weekdays I jog at 5:40 am and enjoy the fresh air and surrounding during that time. I've always felt secure. It's easy to walk the places - whole foods, CVS, 7-Eleven, Chipotle, dry cleaners...it's all so wonderful! What we love: -The two-room suite - approximately 400 square feet. - the space allows us to continue work on a minimalist lifestyle- loving every minute of it. Less is more!!! -The morning breakfast bag - bagel, fruit, juice, cream cheese, yogurt. -The weekly cleaning service! -The cleanliness! -The Staff! There's also a small gym and laundry room. These come in handy. Luckily, we found a laundry service that we started using; let's see how it goes. I'm kind of in love with the location and the Staff- I'm not sure we'll ever leave...hehehe. This was the first time I arranged for one of my groups to stay at the Homewood Suites at 1475 Massachusetts Ave NW in Washington DC. My experience as a Tour Consultant who does this all year long was one of exceptional quality. From the booking of the room block to arranging the rooming list to answering any questions I had along the way, Katia Mancia was top-notch and a pleasure to work with. She was pleasant, communicative, timely and accommodating. The location, the hotel itself, and Katia Mancia are the reasons that I will seek this hotel out for future groups traveling to Washington DC. The highest compliment came when several of my clients reached back out to me after their stay and expressed how much they enjoyed their trip, and I know that the hotel played a huge part in their overall experience. Thank you to Homewood Suites and Katia Mancia. See you soon!! Highly recommend!!…
Within a 5 minutes walk of the convention center. A significant per night savings. Safe walk back and forth. My Room was spacious with a microwave and fridge. I found the front desk team and staff helpful and accommodating. Granted the housekeeping service was not offered unless you ask for them but any needed requests for items like towels were quickly brought to you. I arrived early before checking in, though a room was not ready they shared how many people were in front of me and contacted me immediately when one opened up. Exceeded expectations.
So it was hard to find a reasonably priced hotel in DC this past week. This was about as reasonable as I could find and it still was pricey. We arrived about mid day and our room wasn't available. Usually this is about a 75-25 shot that the room would be ready, but it wasn't so no big deal. It was only about noon though and the carpet in the main area was a mess, not leaving a great first impression. The people were very friendly and took our bags. During the stay everything was largely OK. The breakfast was standard fare. Nothing memorable. The one qualm I had was that most hotels won't make up your room unless you ask these days. Whatever. But when we called to ask they said you had to tell them the day before that you wanted it done. That was a first for me as I've always been able to call in the morning since COVID. I don't even really care about the policy, I just wish they would have told you, because none of the signage in the room mentioned it. Also of note, they do allow pets, so if that bugs you, don't stay here. We love dogs, but not ones that bark next door at 2AM. All in all, I'll remember our trip to Washington DC fondly, but the hotel will probably not be part of it. It was fine, and that's about as much as will be said if you stay here.…
