Stayed here 2 nights for a business trip and it is a nice hotel overall. Just not everything is my taste. I love the high ceilings in the lobby, hallways and rooms. Love all the gray colors used but not so much the yellow, purple and white plaster lion head over the bed.. Rooms are well appointed and make good... More

Thanks so much for your comments on your recent stay. You are right our iconic lions adorn all of our guest rooms - they are meant to represent the historic grandeur of our building, and pay homage to the monuments and museums that surround Washington DC. And I hope you return soon as we will be updating our fitness center... More

We flew in from Phoenix for a wedding to be held here. Our visit began with a nice "welcome to our hotel" greeting accompanied by a few free glass of wine coupons to use with dinner, great beginning. The hotel really is a lovely place, felt much like a small neighborhood by the time we ended our weekend. Lots of... More

We stayed at the Kimpton Monaco for an overnight trip to visit the new African American Museum and have dinner at Georgia Browns. We arrived early and they held our bag and called my cell phone for early check in. We are Karma members and stay at Kimpton's whenever we can. They are running a new promo where u get... More

Thanks so much for your fantastic comments! And I'm so glad you had the change to enjoy Dirty Habit. Our new restaurant has three distinct seating areas, and the outdoor courtyard and seated firepits are great. And you're right JoJo is a fantastic host. We can't wait to see you again soon. More

This was our second time staying at Hotel Monaco. I had requested a room on the 3rd floor which is where we have stayed before but there was a wedding there this weekend and the front desk said the reception was on the third floor. He said he had a room on the 1st floor (rm 130) that would be... More

On the whole, I would recommend the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in D.C. The recent renovation makes the place sparkle! Literally, a lot of the furnishings were bright and might not be your taste. We loved the lush furnishings and new look. There are a number of weddings and evening events which make the rooms near the ballrooms very noisy. Make... More

I absolutely loved that this building was restored and is lovingly being taken care of. The hotel is historic with a great blend of quirky. Both lend well to each other. This hotel is totally pet friendly, which honestly, was really cool. Very warm front desk staff, check in was effortless. I can't say enough about the refurbishment and reuse... More

We checked in and because I had requested a quiet room, the desk personnel made sure we were moved from the floor we were originally supposed to be staying to another room on the 1st floor due to a wedding that was happening that weekend. Thanks for that! Our room was nice and roomy with all the amenities we could... More

We stayed in DC at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco from October 22-24 for our wedding anniversary. Booking was done by phone directly through the Kimpton booking line, very easy. Room rates provided were even better than advertised online being a Kimpton Karma (their in house rewards program) member. Rates very reasonable when compared to other hotels located as centrally as... More

This hotel is in a very cool old building in DC. In fact it is one of the older buildings in the city. It has very high ceilings and the lobby and rooms are well appointed. The decor is funky but that's what Kimpton is known for. It took 3 calls to get a coffee maker for our room but... More
