The hotel was really lovely. The rooms good sized and beautifully appointed. All the staff were very accommodating from the doormen to front desk to spa attendants. We stayed four days on a holiday weekend and the area was a little bit quiet though we didn't mind at all. I suspect much busier during the work week.

The Mandarin Oriental was a beautiful hotel very clean awesome staff and the restaurants were fabulous! Great location, quiet, not near the hustle bustle of downtown and close to the Washington Mall. They treated me and my son like royalty! The bathroom is fabulous and bed very comfortable. Will definitely stay again at this hotel.

We’ve stayed at 3 or more other Mandarin Oriental hotels that all kept up with the standards of the Bangkok hotel. You will not receive the excellence you might expect from Mandarin Oriental at this hotel. This one is just a typical, poorly staffed Washington D.C. hotel and there’s already enough of those. If you can get a price that’s...

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. This was the best hotel stay I've ever had. The food, staff, view, room and overall ambiance was fantastic!! You will not regret. I was here for my 1 year anniversary and the moment we pulled up.. the valet service to housekeeping treated us like first class guests!!

A+.This hotel gives spectacular service, and clean. They are spot on. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Stayed on club level They are also very receptive to customers complaints and needs which for me is important. I never heard anyone say they can't do something. The concierges are excellent and even went the extra mile to try to get...

From the genuine greetings to the perfect water pressure in the shower, the Mandarin is a memorable luxury experience. Rather than overdo with extras, its staff anticipates the needs of its guests and responds quickly to any requests. For vacationers, it's located within walking distance of the Washington Mall, and has a CVS pharmacy and Starbucks next door. I would...

I recently was fortunate enough to attend a meeting in Washington and this visit to the Mandarin Oriental was the venue. I preface by saying that because I am just glad it was not being paid out of pocket but rather a business account! It is very expensive here, but if that is not an issue for you--lucky you!--this is...

Very convenient location (esp. if you are doing the DC tourist thing), but the property is showing its age, and the staff is not nearly as obliging as it should be for a MO hotel. I'm not even sure if they are familiar with the term "personal service". We had better luck booking dinner reservations through Open Table then we...

The concierge staff was incredibly helpful as they got us into the African American Museum, Bureau of Printing and Engraving AND they got us into Rasika which is one of the best Indian restaurants around! The location was great - we walked to all museums, the Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington Monument. 2 blocks to the Smithsonian Metro stop. The food...
