Did a weekend trip to DC and stayed at Akwaaba for two nights. This bed and breakfast is located in the well situated Dupont Circle, close to all DC has to offer. Very homey accommodations and the breakfast, snacks, and drinks available throughout the day were delicious. Will absolutely be staying here again the next time I am in DC

Akwaaba in general never disappoints. The rooms are cozy and attractive, the innkeeper (this is my third time in DC) is always very personable and accommodating. The location is perfect for a tour of the attractions of DC and great eateries. I only have one request...firmer pillows in the Romance Room.... overall a great stay...and I've met some really interesting...

The location could not have been better! This was an amazing place to stay while in Washington, D.C. I had heard about this B&B and was very happy to have the opportunity to spend a weekend there. It was wonderfully decorated - each room, as I did get a chance to see some of the other rooms. The breakfast serve...

Great location for restaurants, buses and sightseeing. Booked the Langston Hughes room and it was massive! Must be the biggest room I've stayed in. Spotless, quiet and quirky. Lovely atmosphere and really enjoyed the Happy hour ( wine and eats) where you had a chance to meet other guests and chat about what you did that day. Got some good...

This was my 2nd stay at the Akwaaba. On this stay I stayed in the "Inspiration" suite. I much prefer this experience to a hotel. I have stayed in many, many hotels in D.C on business travel. This was so much more personal and enjoyable. If you appreciate architecture and design you will love this historic town home. It represents...

We stayed in the Zora Neale Hurston room at the Akwaaba B&B. Very large room with a comfortable king sized bed. Innkeepers Kim and Nani were wonderful. Delicious hot breakfast and happy hour. And the locations is great for seeing everything.

I stayed at Akwaaba for 2 nights while attending several meetings. The location was great- a short cab ride to the White House in the morning, and a nice walk home. Also, there are a variety of restaurants, and a Safeway (yes!), just around the corner. The happy hour at Akwaabe was an excellent touch. I am always yearning for...
