Akwaaba B & B is the perfect place to stay while visiting Washington, D.C. The ambiance is calm, cool and collected. The location is central to everything and from the balcony in the Langston Hughes room you can see the Washington Monument!!! The breakfast was delicious and the happy hour a great touch. The staff were helpful and friendly too....

We stayed in the Zora Neale Hurston room at the Akwaaba B&B. Very large room with a comfortable king sized bed. Innkeepers Kim and Nani were wonderful. Delicious hot breakfast and happy hour. And the locations is great for seeing everything.

I stayed at Akwaaba for 2 nights while attending several meetings. The location was great- a short cab ride to the White House in the morning, and a nice walk home. Also, there are a variety of restaurants, and a Safeway (yes!), just around the corner. The happy hour at Akwaabe was an excellent touch. I am always yearning for...

This was our 2nd stay at Akwaaba DC, an historic townhouse near DuPont Circle, and is walking distance to everything, if you're so inclined. Same room- casually elegant Langston Hughes on the 3rd floor with a private balcony (to enjoy afternoon wine and snacks or a nightcap) with a view of the Washington Monument (however the view has become *somewhat*...

I was in Washington for a week long conference. My stay at Akwaaba B&B was certainly one of the highlights of the week - great location, friendly and helpful innkeepers, fantastic breakfasts every morning. The atmosphere and the daily complimentary happy hour were much appreciated additions to coming home after an intense working day. An excellent home away from home!

The Zora Neale Hurston room was exactly as depicted on the website, well appointed with a large modern bathroom and plenty of space to lounge and read. Akwaaba is located...
