Pros: Dependable and fast internet. Cons: Water is either hot or cold (no in between). Floor appears to have never been vacuumed. Space is VERY small. No working heat or A/C. Uncomfortable bed. Sub-par toiletries. I've seen ratings from 3.5 to 4.5 stars and can't imagine how, though this is a family place and that could be loyalty reviews. If... More

The hotel is a bit run-down and could do with a face lift, but despite this, I found my room to be small but very clean and everything in working order. I arrived very early, hours before check-in, but the very friendly lady at the check-in counter made sure that I had a room assigned to me as soon as... More

Knowing our time in DC was limited we booked the Hotel Harrington purely based on location and for this reason, it didn't disappoint. We walked to all the main tourist spots from here and it's even close to a train line for easy access to outer areas. Yes, it's old and tired. Yes, it needs a refresh. Yes, there are... More

We appreciated the pre-1990's charm of this "tourist hotel" - affordable, centrally located and with grade school civics lesson decor in the lobby. My husband and I stayed over Columbus Day weekend; once settled into our 11th floor room in the "new" building overlooking 12th St, NW we found this hotel to be perfectly suitable. The desk was responsive to... More

Unfortunately a travel agent booked this hotel on my behalf as I was in DC for business. This will be the last time I or a travel agent I am working with will book this place. The Hotel Harrington is worse than an extended stay in Vegas. And if you have never been to one of those, you definitely are... More

Company booked this room for me. All areas of this hotel is outdated. Lobby has an offensive odor and the carpet looks warn out. In the hallway there was a cat sleeping in the corner. The room had so much air freshener it irritated my eyes and sinuses. To adjust the AC you have to move a metal rod up... More

What can I say about this quirky, yet endearing hotel? I chose this place because with 2 small kids, I wanted a convenient location. This place was within walking distance to everything. It was a bonus that Ford's theatre was practically across the street. This hotel is exactly like the pictures here. There were 2 restaurants, a bar and a... More

I booked this room online because I needed to be close to the Reagan Building in DC. The rate was $169 a night which wasn't expensive for Wash. DC but it didn't seem to be cheap, either. Upon arrival around 10:00 PM, there was no place to temporarily park during check-in. If you have a car to park, you have... More

The location could not be better: sits right in the middle between the Capitol and the White House. The hotel itself is 100+ years old, and probably has not been truly renovated since then. It's reasonably clean, but really really really dated. As we just sleep their and don't even come back during the day, I don't really care, but... More

The hotel is clean and nice. Its in a great location I commuted to and from the Verizon center for business. Some of the staff were helpful and friendly. The only problem I found was it was extremely loud during the evenings but what do you expect for such a central location? Overall a good stay for a cheap price.
