Wonderful hotel in a delightful area of the city. The room was huge, and we had an amazing view over the city. The bed was extremely comfortable, friendly staff on the check in desk, free wifi - what more do you need! I just wish we had stayed longer to have fully appreciated the room - but we were only...

This lovely hotel has all the amenities of a boutique hotel, the comforts of home, splendid views & a sweet location. When I arrived, the young woman at the front desk helped me locate the nearby Whole Foods and a hair salon. If " a room with a view" is important to you, ask for a room on the 7th...

It happens every time: I look on Expedia or Hotels.com for a hotel room in DC and find a meager selection of rooms in mediocre hotels at high prices and rooms in luxury hotels at totally outrageous prices. Then I remember the River Inn, go to its website, and book there. It's a solid 4-star place with big rooms (often...

Great location, barely a ten minute walk to the Kennedy Center.. We enjoyed our king suite - spacious, very comfortably furnished, and clean. Staff members were welcoming and professional. Complimentary WiFi was a plus. We had the buffet breakfast in the restaurant and service was friendly and prompt - the scrambled eggs were good and arrived swiftly. .

My husband and I arrived at The River Inn way early for check-in, but was immediately looked after by the very helpful and friendly Zee, the concierge. He helped us get into our room more than two hours before check-in, sorted out our transport to the airport for the next day, and made sure that we felt right at home....

The hotel was very clean and convenient to the metro. The bathroom and kitchen area could use some renovation but were very clean and adequately equipped for our needs. It's in a nice residential neighborhood near the university. The staff were fantastic and very helpful as we had never been to Washington DC and had no idea where to go...

Our first visit to The River Inn was a totally positive experience. Our room was large and well appointed. The Foggy Bottom location was ideal. The hotel restaurant exceeded all our expectations. The high point of our stay was dealing with the dedicated, professional, and friendly staff. Four individuals in particular were especially helpful--Caitlin, Charos, and Ross at the front...

We stayed at the River Inn when we attended a concert at the Kennedy Center. It's an easy and pleasant walk either in the day or after the concert. The neighborhood feels very safe. Rooms & suites are very spacious and include a kitchenette with coffee beans to grind to make deliously fresh coffee in the morning. The restaurant ,...

The staff are always welcoming and efficient; the rooms are comfortable and have such amenities as a functional kitchen, a great working space, and a large closet. The restuarant is always a treat-great food and excellent service! I always look forwad to staying here!
